Never once have I seen over 20% in my area and at 2 crappy places.

    • Got a 40% off one in my area for the first time last week. Saved $20 on my order. Have faith. It WILL happen.

    • Same here for the 5th or 6th week in a row. I said I would stop checking for the deal but I can't help myself.

Anyway, have faith, it MAY happen.

Anyone else getting a lot of "Closed" vendors? Most of these used to come up as "Pre-Order" or have they stopped pre-orders altogether now?

    • If the vendor is "Closed", they won't take preorders. On the mobile app it shows in description of closed vendors: "No preorders". I guess they may have changed it at some point

      • Every single restaurant in my area shows up as "Closed". On MenuLog I can preorder from them fine. I think this must be a mistake from DH.

Same here (Northern Sydney), never seen this before.

Yeah, I'm sure people complained when Gladiator days were over too, no one getting slaughtered anymore for fun

      • You agreed it's a valid point… Still negged ?

        • No, they got negged but I agree it's a valid point. Now that I read my statement, it almost reads like I negged them!

An Indian shop near me charges $18 for shipping… http://i.imgur.com/CXCdxpf.png

    • wow!

      • My local asian place won't deliver without minimum $60 spend.

a local pizza joint in Dandenong increased their delivery price from $4-$6 to $10, when you add that to your food, it really does stop you from ordering, I wonder if they aren't too willing to deliver and upped their delivery fee to compensate for the 40% off

      • Do the restaurants themselves have to foot the bill for the discount though..? I thought it was DH funding it..

        • +1

DH funds it, restaurants receive the full amount.

@KaptnKaos: I spoke to the owners of an Indian place in SA a few weeks back and they said they got the advertising for free but they took the hit of the discount - DH doesn't cover a cent of it. They aren't listed any more but said one of the main issues they had was that they were just copping large volumes of complaints about why they weren't honouring deals or processing them - regardless of the fact they had been trying for over a month to get themselves off the advertised DH restaurant list. It took the owner 3 weeks to successfully get through to speak to someone about it in the first place and then weeks after that before they were de-listed. He said it became a joke situation where they were being threatened with being removed from the list for not honouring orders…. weeks into the process of attempting to be taken off their list of advertised sites.

    • And what do they normally charge for delivery ?

  • lots of places closed today which is understandable, but tomorrow being wednesday?

    • Probably to prevent preordering.

50percentoff at a local restaurant, suddenly goes closed for today and tommorow

    wat

    • Probably to prevent preordering.

  • Also includes SA - plenty in my work area at 10-50% - Cheers TA

  • Thanks TA! 50% off at my local Italian pizzeria - ordered up a feast for the family, only $18 delivered. Cheers! :-)

  • Working in Perth! Thanks

  • I can't give a like as there are only TWO RESTAURANTS open in my area, and the only promotion one of the stores has is 20% discount on orders, the rest 30 stores or so shows as CLOSE, and no store offers the 50% OFF deal….
