    • They forgot to order a whopper server.

  • Something went wrong with our system. Our developers have been notified, so take a break and try again later.

  • 422 single tickets left
    NO MORE double passes

    • There wasn't when I posted this

      • -1

I dont think he was saying there was. He was just giving an update.

      • Oh I didn't realise. sorry for that

    • I got through on my tablet! There are 396 single passes left.

    • It says 387 now. Do we get an email or anything after clicking?

    • +9

OzBargain should have a rating system. That way, if a user ever needs any help, we can see whether they deserve it or not..

  • +3

1 was enough for me, thanks OP

  • +15

Got my 1 ticket via the PC, thanks OP. For the people who are claiming multiple and ruining it for everybody, you guys are just plain greedy. Just goes to show the ethics and morals that people will drop just for a free movie ticket.

      • +3

I hardly think many would begrudge getting a ticket for a friend or family member, but two people have now claimed 12 and 18 tickets each. I personally dont want to waste an hour driving to a cinema and back if the contest gets cancelled because of people ripping it off, hence my im commenting on this.

      • +5

Of course I had the opportunity to take more than one. I still do have the opportunity to take more than one.

I am choosing not to take more than one.
I actually respect this community and all the bargains it has provided.
My goal isnt to shaft the people that have provided me with the bargains for all of these years.

        Or am I thinking crazy?

      • +1

Spuderump above stated they took 9. That's abusing the system.

What's the chance that this character won't use them personally and will sell them, are you OK with that?

If you're taking a couple for you, your significant other and kids, then sure..

Edit: Ahh, it's probably a troll.. they stated 12, and 18 on the previous page.

      • -1

Typical closed minded ozbargain negger, hypocrite

I reckon most of you think that I'm abusing but Im not even getting any ticket at all.

What im trying to say here is there should be authentication id so people wont abuse it.

And i got negged because im trying to be open minded here.meh don't care. Silly voting system

    The power of OZB
We should take turn, otherwise no one got happy ending

    • That'll be the day!

    • They should have a ticket system for there site like they do when you order in store.

  • Website is down. Just my luck. Restarted and now it's taking ages to load just to sign up. Is the ticket for any movie or a specific one?

    • Any

    • Its for any movie. There are a choice of cinemas. I saw at least Reading Cinemas and Hoyts, there may be more.
The only restriction on the session is that it cant be after 5pm on a Saturday.

  • RIP website:( missed out on this. HAd plans for starwars. Damm.

  • +1

Website is hammered and prob offline now

  • I registered my code on the website, but it didn't let me redeem. Now I'm trying again and it says I have no account. :I

  • 270 Single Tickets left. And you know the 2 for price of 1 Ticket (49,979) and $5 off Coupon (199,989 left) - can't forget about those ones!

    • Lucky you got on! Thanks for the update about the other 'important' ones :D

      • yeh defs was! haha no worries :)

    • What is the $5 off for?

  • +1

Where does it appear once you have claimed it ?

    • Go to "Offer Wallet" under My Say at the top of the page and once it loads… it's pretty much straightforward from there

  • +4

Finally got through, got a code and no cinemas in Newcastle area :(

Not sure if it'll work but here's the code for someone else… XWAANCM

    • you da real mvp

  • just claimed… 270 left, but didnt get any further.
Got back in, says I already claimed it and 242 left…

    • Check your offer wallet

      • even loading offer wallet takes ages

        • I think once you've claimed it, should be safe ? come back in another hour to redeem it ? not sure. lol

        • @Andde: yeh i think you're right

        • +1

          @Andde:

Yeah, when I claimed mine, it took me to a 3rd party site to get the ticket. The important thing is that you have your code. Once you have that you can claim your ticket later tonight.

        • @John Stone:

3rd party site isn't hammered though.

      • ok thanks. I tried that once and timed out. Will keep on it

  • Why do EVENT Cinemas never do these things :(

  • Sit tight but got nothing here!!!

Am I the only one still can't even access to maccasplay website????

  • Just claimed one, 143 left.

  • Anyone have the link to the redemption site? I can't seem to access the link as the page keeps crashing

  • +11

Seriously you guys? I go to work for a couple of hours and you break McDonalds? :P

I had trouble with the redemption process initially. Worked again when I closed browser and went back to it. On the Submit page it should come up with a drop down box prefilled allowing you to select to redeem the movie tickets. Sometimes that box is missing though.

    • From all of us, thanks again :)

      • I managed to somehow scrape by, by getting one, but in 5 mins all of the tickets ran out when I reloaded the page
Honestly, I feel sorry for the people who didn't get a ticket, and quite angry at those who managed to snap up 14 tickets! shakes fist angrily

On a very unrelated note, (because of my political studies), I can infer quite well that socialism propagates itself quite well through experiences like these :/

Edit: thanks to zhuntai and spaceback for sharing.

    all gone

  • +1

    missed out. All gone :(

If anyone has an extra code please pm me

    • Can anybody explain why they are negging?

      • I'd say that they'll be thinking of people claiming multiple, rather than claiming and then finding no cinema close by.

  • And they're gone!

  • Does 2.5yr kid need to buy ticket at HOYTS?

    • Anyone occupying a seat needs to have a ticket.

That said, go when it's quiet and they won't care, say they'll be on your lap (very uncomfortable tho!)

  • Maccas came out cheaply on this.
10000s of new emails to sell and spam from new accounts with a sh!t server and limited tickets. Thanks to all who OzBargained it, and a real thanks to op and original op for putting it up.
There goes Maccas on my 24mth ban list

    • +2

Well it was 1000x single & 1000x double, so a decent amount to give out for free :)

Also it's all supposedly so they know what people want, though anyone could've guessed they'd want the more expensive option for free ;)

And cmon, we'll see you at the next Maccas giveaway ;)

    • Cheaply?

Should they give a complimentary massage for you too? Or did they hold a knife to your head to make you register?

  • +5

So, not only was mcdonalds.com.au ozbargained, but they direct you to mytlcrewards.com which is also ozbargained. Two for one deal.

  • -4

For anyone that hasn't claimed their free ticket on the MyTLCRewards site, you can manually change the quantity to redeem and they'll send you that many.

    • Is it best to claim the tickets now or later? I'm afraid they won't honour the deal if I wait a month later.

      • whats the advantage of waiting a month. Just wait until the claim site is stable again in a few hours and claim away.

    • :(

  • Nevermind.

  • thank you

  • 2 for 1 and $5 off incur a $2.50 transaction fee and no way to choose what type of ticket (eg student etc). Definitely not worth it for the options that are left.

  • site is being hammered, its so slow.

  • -1

Anyone got a spare code? Thanks in advance.

  • I feel like there's a story behind the picture on this deal? anyone care to share?

    • +1

As with Subway, Maccas have threatened legal action previously just from showing a thumbnail of the linked site.

      Yeah, pretty stupid!

      • thanks for enlightening me! you're right, that is stupid! never heard of a business turning away free promotion before!

  • i got the email only 45 minutes ago! So they send you even though they run out. Weow! I missed out :(

    • Lol got mine 40mins ago… gonna be some hate on their social media accounts I reckon!

    • Yep just got an email too

    • Got the email at 1:34am … Many hours after it was over, well 2 for 1 was available still and $5 off.

  • Thanks, got a ticket (earlier today).

  • Only got 2 for 1

  • +2

I can't believe McDonalds sent out the invitation email AFTER the tickets had run out! I got the $5 off, thinking I could use it on a cheap Tuesday, but you still have to pay $15 for the ticket. I get most of my tickets for $10 or less, so this offer is no good for me. Wish I'd just happened to be on OzBargain at the right time to see this before everyone else got in. Oh well, you win some you lose some. Well done every one who got a single or double ticket!

    • +1

I hate Mymaccas. I got a few deals when i joined a long time ago and nothing in so long. I get the email after the fact too. I bet people who just signed up got the deals. I couldn't even get the site to load yesterday. Then only the buy 1 get 1 free and $5 off deal were left. It would cost me $22 to buy 1 get 1 free. Cheap days can pay for close to 2 tickets any way. They get all the marketing details and i am still trying to work out how i benefit from this offer? What a con!

  • +1

feelin' like the greedy hoarders who took several deserve a cane, ya feel

  • +2

Has anyone claimed the two for one? Looks like a great deal anyway.

    • +2

Cheaper to go with optus rewards.

    • Yeah i claimed a few for my local Reading Cinema.

Tickets are $10 normally, so got a few double passes for $12.50 ($6.25ea)

Between a few cheap double passes and 2 free single passes i'm happy.

  • dangit, missed out ironically because I was at the cinema watching a film already :(

edit: and some of you were bragging for taking over a dozen? for shame, you're all as bad as this woman: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1TNQr-WzU4

  • +2

I received their email 1/2 hour after it is already sold out. Thanks Maccas

  • Can this be used for a new release movie with NFT sign?

  • +1

The "You must select at least one reward" issue seems to have been fixed now. I was able to claim my movie ticket.

    • Took a long time to fix. Only managed to get one ticket :(

  • Got my 2for1 as others run out… Not many cinemas for the Gold Coast, the Arts Center and a drive in cinema… Cost of 2 for 1 is $0.50 less than we pay for two tickets at the local, so a bit of a fail.

  • $15 imax tickets via groupon might be better for some people
    http://www.groupon.com.au/deals/sydney/australian-movie-vouc…

  • My Hoyts has some fancy electric reclining seats. Almost makes going to the cinema worth it (still with a discount voucher ofcourse).
