  • Great list thank you i had no idea zambreros wa on the list and i am an addict! A few others i found around WA worth a mention:
    Grill'd (leederville)
    Sienas (leederville)
Matchbox (few locations - great homeware store)
Games World (few locations - ideal for Christmas shopping)

They were my picks :) basically lots of Christmas shopping will be done in November!

    • There's a list of Perth locations including confirmations from this year (http://bit.ly/shopsmallperth)

      • +2

Thanks :) I can confirm that Mount Pleasant IGA is included. I have 2 Amex cards and only receive emails for one of them so don't be deterred if you don't get an email.

        • I don't see IGA Mt Pleasant on the small shops map. Is it removed?

        • @Redcar: it might have been removed but should still work. I went to a place that had been removed from the map but still got the email from amex.

        • Cheers. Will give it a go.

  • Soul Patterson Chemist Park Center East Victoria Park.
DOMENICS FRUITS & VEG Park Center.

  • Wizard Pharmacy - Lakeside Joondalup (all 3 stores registered separately for Shop Small)
    Wizard Pharmacy Girrawheen
    Kinsella's Auto One Calcutta
    Superchem Stirling Central Shopping Centre
Cost Plus Store, Stirling Central Shopping Centre
    Red Dot, Warwick Grove
    Optimal Pharmacy, Carine

  • Midland WA notables:

    Toyworld
    Austin Computers
    Midland physio
    Bev's saws and mowers
    Clark Rubber
Woodbridge Hotel - 2 pints for the price of one?
    Middle swan liquor store

  • Thanks for the lists, OP and others!

  • Thanks

  • The Newsagencies are worth checking out too! SmartRider top-ups, gift cards, phone credit, etc. Subi Square News (near Woolies) is on the list :)

Oh, and Captain Stirling IGA (Nedlands) is on there too! Very easy to find $20 of groceries :)

      Pennae,

Any chance you could hunt specifically for newsagencies and grocery places and compile a list for us?

      • for Smartrider, Busy Bee newsagency on corner of james and william street in northbridge does. Also I could be wrong, but
I'm pretty sure that only the stores listed here do smartrider top ups:
        http://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/SmartRider/Retail-Outlets

      • Would love to but that map is hard work and I've got other work to get done. Sigh.

But I can confirm that Subi Square news and IGA Captain Stirling are both in it. At IGA you can split purchases across 2 cards (or more), Subi Square News you can't.

I went to a few places down Stirling Hwy yesterday. Wizard Chemist at Claremont Quarter is good, Mama Tran's for lunch (or Brooklyn if you're after Dimmi points too!), Koko Black for dessert (or fancy Christmas chocolates), and there's a few other pharmacies as well.

        • I've been trying to find Captain Stirling IGA on the map, however I cannot seem to find it. Under what name is it listed? Also can you confirm that you have received the Amex credits for shopping there? I just want to confirm first before spending my money there :)

        • @jlqc5899:
It is on Stirling Hwy, next to the Captain Stirling Hotel (Pub)

        • @voteoften:

Thanks voteoften for the response. I meant I knew its physical location, but somehow I could not find it on Amex Shopsmall map. I just worry that this place has now been removed from Amex and will not earn me the $10 credit?

        • This is what Amex had to say when queried about Captain Stirling IGA;

"I’d like to share that all the merchants listed in the Shop Small Map had agreed to participate in the campaign; however we have been receiving feedback from our Card Members for non acceptance of the Card at some of the listed merchants. Our Support Team reviews all the feedback and updates the Shop Small map on daily basis to remove such merchants. This is done to avoid further inconvenience to our valued card members like you. Hence, Captain Stirling IGA was earlier listed on the Map but have been removed now."

This might be some useful information for some.

    • What sort of gift cards do news agencies do? I wasn't aware that they sold gift cards.

      • Subi Central had most of the regulars you see in Woolies and petrol stations but no supermarket ones. iTunes, Hoyts, Myer, Red Balloon, etc.

        • Thanks. I shall get some more hoyts gift cards then. Still got a stack of those from the last round of hoyts amex credits.

  • Grill'd Scarborough didn't seem to work (or my cards aren't activating the offer)

    • still no credit?

      • Nope no email so I don't think it's on the list

        • Some of my credits have taken 3-4 days to come through, so you might still receive it. I haven't received emails for 3 of the purchases I've made, but the credit for one has come through without any problems, and the other two were only in the last couple of days so still waiting on those ones.

        • Grilld Leederville is on the list. Let us know if you do get the credit for Scarborough. If not, probably will avoid going to a Grilld other than Leederville

        • +1

Nah definitely no credit, don't think it worked last year either for Scarborough

        • +1

          @brettd:

Grill'd Mt Lawley doesn't even take Amex!

  • +2

Kwik fuel osborne park works for petrol

    • +1

I've received confirmation emails for most of my other Shop Small purchases so was a little concerned when I didn't receive one for my Kwikfuel purchase but the $10 credit came through two days later.

      • Someone was there today, annoyed the shop attendant/owner and he was very rude to me as a result. Said someone kept coming back with a couple of cards. He said people who only filled up $20 were "mean" and he "don't like mean people"

        • Oh dear :( . I guess I'm a "mean person" then, but I only needed half a tank anyway! It's not a service station I would normally use as I never go past it (didn't even know it was there, to be honest) and only went there because it ended up being just a few minutes' out of my way - so he got my business (and probably a number of other customers) due to the Shop Small Promotion. Sounds like he might not be participating in it next year …

  • Toast Face Grillah in the city also gives the 10 bucks back

  • Can also add lost society in the city

Grilld East Victoria Park is working!

    • EDIT: Sorry just figured out the credit was not from Grill'd, it was from Wealthy Thai in East Victoria Park.. Sorry!

  • Does anyone know anywhere that would sell Woolworths gift cards?

  • I couldn't find Mad Mex on the shop small map in WA. Mad Mex in Subiaco don't accept AMEX so no luck there. Unless other Mad Mex stores do.

Can confirm received an email after shopping at Games World in Midland. I split two transactions up, only received one email, but hoping to get two cashbacks!

    • did you use 2 different cards?

      • Nah I used the same card. Is it one store promotion per card? I just thought it had to be separate $20 transactions. Oh well :(

        • +1

Using the same card, you can only redeem the offer once at each participating business

        • @SimbaGirl: Ohhhh…. this I didn't know. Thanks for that.

  • No Mafia is a recent addition to the entertainment book (if you have digital edition)

  • I went to Apache spur steak last week and they accepted amex and I got the credit. Then I went again on this week, paying with a different amex card, only to find that they have stopped accepting amex. :(

  • Liquor barons Redcliffe worked as well but did have a surcharge

  • Rottnest Island General Store is good if you are on the island.

  • Great list thank you @ruski23 @anthem29

  • I'm visiting Perth for 9 days and have a few cards on me… Was a pain to find a smartrider card at all! Anyone know where I can top up with shop small, if any? Thanks in advance!
