Scosche BLESCAD Bluetooth Smart Cycling Speed Cadence Sensor - $11.99 + Postage ($9) @ Torpedo7

180

Was having a browse and saw this Bluetooth speed + cadence sensor on sale.

At $11.99, its very very cheap.
For most people, I believe postage should be $9.

I've bought various items from Torpedo7 and they've been pretty good to deal with.
Not sure why this is so cheap.

I'd almost consider upgrading my ANT+ sensor to this Bluetooth version.

i'd also like to know this too
if not, what other apps will it work with?

      • This review says it does… I'll bite.

Clone of the wahoo blue I think. Which I paid $55 for from HN just recently :/

I believe it works with strava, because the wahoo app links to strava IIRC.

  • Can anyone comment if this would work with garmin vivoactive (uses blue tooth) watch…

  • Wonder if this would work with the Magellan Cyclo bike computers a few of us bought a month or so ago

  • This is Bluetooth NOT ANT+
I would assume no Vivoactive support

    • Smart Notifications
Stay connected with smartwatch technology2. vívoactive gently vibrates to alert you to incoming calls, texts, email and calendar reminders from your compatible Bluetooth®-enabled device3.

  • I'm all for keeping constant 90rpm, but at the expense of high phone battery drainage, no thanks… Anyone know how much phone battery using Bluetooth with this uses?

    • The bluetooth low energy (BLE) will not be the main problem with monitoring your wattage. On new phones it should be quite efficient. However, if you monitor the wattage, it requires keeping the screen of the phone on, which uses a lot of power.

      • alright, so I guess this really is only useful in conjunction with a bike computer/gps?

      • Bring a powerbank is your phone doesn't have good battery.

  • Showing as $29.99 for me. Has the deal expired?

    • Last night it showed the deals ends today.

    • Yup, expired. It's available for $29.99 on their eBay store, so if you still want it get it there and use the extra 20% off code.
