  • My local Bunnings (Canberra Belconnen) had the GBH 2-18 RE on clearance for $78 two weeks ago, I bought the last (only?) one they had. I thought it was a cracking deal for a trade quality SDS rotary hammer drill (and I happened to need one anyway). The smaller size doesn't bother me as I am just doing jobs around the house. Not sure why you wouldn't want the rotary hammer drill over just the hammer drill though, despite less power the rotary hammer function would make quicker work of most jobs. Maybe some people just don't like using SDS bits? but again there is little price difference between a quality 10mm SDS bit and a standard 10mm bit, so I find the "plain" hammer drill a peculiar tool.

  • Bunnings North Launceston?

    You mean "Grimvermay"

    • Well, actually Inveresk isn't it, but Bunnings call it North Launceston?

  • Also found this Hitachi SDS drill while looking. $400 plus shipping or free pickup. Next cheapest I found it is high $500's to $700. A lot more than cheap ones starting at $139 for the Ozito though.
