Apple iPhone 6S Plus - Deals

Hi OzBargain Community,

I am looking to purchase an Apple iPhone 6S Plus 128GB for my dad's birthday as a present for him.

Currently this iPhone model retails for $1529 at the Apple Store, Myer etc.

I'm getting ~15% off the RRP for the iPhone.
So its costing me ~$1329 for an Apple iPhone 6S Plus 128GB at Myer with a free Apple Silicone case included as part of the catalogue promotion Myer has going at the moment.

So just wondering if this is a good deal in your opinion? Or should I wait for better deals from other Australian retailer's (need a Tax Invoice for the purchase)?

Note: I purchased $1400 worth of Myer giftcards from BigW during the sale last year per this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/146307 ($1129: 10% discount at BigW + 5% casback from ING Orange Everyday account - Visa PayWave. ING did call me about it next day and told me not to do so many split transactions again lol). And then got a $50 Myer giftcard as a present and received a $20 Myer giftcard for free from a friend's Apple iMac (~$2200) purchase via Myer One points.

So all these giftcards combined plus cash on top, my total spend comes to ~$1330 for the Apple iPhone 6S Plus 128Gb from Myer.

Price for me will vary as Myer are happy to price match Officeworks price of $1499 instead of $1529, but will not be able to get the Bonus Apple Silicone case.

    Myer is an Australian retailer? They can give you a tax invoice?

    How are you getting this for 15% off at Myer? Prices are still the same online.

    15% off for Australian stock iPhone 6S is a good deal compared with other prices right now.

    You're unlikely to see this price anytime soon for Australian stock and especially for the 128GB Plus model.

    Also, could you please DM me on how you're getting the 15% off? Is it a credit card promotion?

      Awesome, thanks bonkers22. Will order one tomorrow and hopefully it arrives before Friday this week. I'm located in Brisbane and Myer has all the iPhones in stock in their Melbourne DC at the moment.

      He's been using an Apple iPhone 4S 32GB so this will be a msssive upgrade for him. Will place the order tomorrow in-store!

    I ended up buying the Apple iPhone 6S Plus 128GB form Myer using my gift cards/Myer One points etc.
    Ended up costing me about $1250 (after selling the free $100 iTunes gift card - still trying to sell it on Gumtree etc. for ~$70).
    Got a $40 Myer Giftcard as well from the Myer One point for this purchase.

    Bought a Spigen clear case online as well as a Tempered screen glass protector for $20 with free shipping.

    Dad's really happy with the phone!!
    Massive upgrade for him going from an iPhone 4S to this :)
    He's already started to fill the phone with heaps of stuff to take advantage of the huge storage space!

        Oh ok yeah…sold the iTunes gift card for $70 last week via Gumtree!
        So yeah the iPhone itself coated about $1240 and then spent another $20 on accessories (Spigen case and tempered glass screen protector).
