Online Order - Item Hasn't Arrived, No Reply from GearBest

Hello everyone,

I had ordered an item from an online retailer Gearbest last Sept 4, It was shipped as per record the next day.
After almost a month , I didn't receive the item so I created a support ticket.

I got a reply from them asking me to verify: My address and the post office to check my items which I did .

Then I got a reply that I should wait for another month as the delivery may have been delayed.

To make the story short, Its been 2 months and found that the ticket has already been closed. I did open a new one but there has been no reply from them.

Can I ask the ozbargain community from their experience… What are my options ?

    Because if it was something like this it is gonna take more effort than its worth to chase them up…

    Did you check the order status page? when they send stuff out they'll take a picture of the package and the post service they sent it out with.

    mail/ anything purchased from various online shops like dealextreme, banggood, gearbest all take on average at least a month to receive after mailing.

    Gearbest got banned from ozbargain due to the number of complaints as there was a lack of communication regarding the RITECH 3d Glasses which were put on backorder due to the number of orders

    I received a Romoss 20,000 mAH powerbank I ordered from GearBest 15/9 arrived within the month ~12-15/10 using Sweden Surface Mail (family picked up the mail)

    The 2x Ritech 3d Glasses was ordered 19/7; sent via china post unregistered 18/8 arrived 16/10/2015, so pretty much nearly 2 months. I'd take their other mail carriers over China Post anyday

  • The order status page only shows - product dispatched, Sept 5 11AM… too bad its china post.

    I ordered other items from them in the past and it usually takes a month to arrive.

    if you paid with paypal open a dispute they seem to reply straight away if you do that.

    I have ordered 4 things from gearbest. I received 1 out of the 4… how are they messing this up so badly?

    OP… did you pay via paypal? If so just open a dispute. Put in the dispute that the address is correct, you have checked with the post office and you want the paypal transaction refunded (they will first offer gearbest credit which isn't that useful given they cant deliver anything).

    I ordered 3 parcels from them on the same day. 2 arrived. One did not. After a month, raised ticket, and they offered the chance to store credit or resend.

    Chose the latter. It is due any day now.
    In short; was happy with their service.

    Same horrendous experience with Gearbest. Try calling up Courierplease if you're based in Sydney as they seem to be the courier of choice for gearbest. Had a recent experience where gearbest insisted I had received the package, to the extent of sending me fabricated tracking information screenshots, only to call up Courierplease on a whim as they had delivered a previous gearbest parcel. They subsequently told me it had been sent back to sender and kindly emailed me the non amended tracking information!

    I just finally recieved my fake chromecast device thingo about 2 months after I ordered it. I guess I need to realise that the item was cheap and I also selected the free shipping.

    However… the item wasnt even shipped until about 18 days after I paid for the order, and then I made a complaint after not receiving anything. They responded saying that it could take up to 25 days to arrive from the date of shipment, and so the item finally arrived 27 days after the shipment date, which, remember, was 18 days after i actually ordered the thing……

    So Im sure this doesn't happen all the time, and I could have better results paying for a better shipping.. .but I probably still wont use their service ever again.

    45 days really sucks… I was over it.

  • I had traced my transaction, unfortunately it was done by credit card…. that pretty much narrows my options if I ever have one.

      credit card companies usually have a chargeback process. I did this to get money back from a purchase I made with a company that went broke before I could get my item.

      It was with westpac so I don't know if all banks are the same but as far as I can remember I had to fill out some form and fax it to them and then waited a few weeks. I believe the cutoff was around 3 months time to lodge the request. talk to your bank

    The $2.99 Aus shipping has always arrived for me, but the free has never arrived. Weird because they're using China Post and arrives fine with other websites.

  • No luck with Courrier Please either … I guess I'll just file this in my worst online experience ever and learn from this.

    Not much I can do…. Seller doesn't reply to my emails. I guess because I didn't use paypal, so no buyer protection for me. :(

      You paid by credit card. You DO have buyer protection. Contact them.
      From the reputation they are getting I would not order free money from them… avoid !!!

        YEs, just called my bank and they will refer my case to the Internet Fraud Dept. that good news for me.

          Pop into your local bank branch that issued your CC and lodge a complaint in writing.
          Good luck. Don't let them get away with it.
          GearBest have a Facebook page but don't waste your time trying to get anything done there as others that complain get ignored too.

    I'm still waiting for a resolution for a gearbest item. 2 months 3 weeks, 5 days :)
    I've logged a ticket a months ago, but hey that won't open today on the gearbest site.

    I agree, avoid gearbest. Otherwise go ahead and buy, as that's a easy way to turn $30 into $10.

    We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

    When you placed the order, you didn't pay for the insurance and we can't get any compensation from the shipping company. We also need to bear the loss about this issue.

    The item is not in stock and we can't resend for you. Thus I can provide you the solutions:

  • I contacted them about an item that hadn't arrived for over 3 months. They said I could have a refund or they could send the item again. I chose the latter and the item arrives about a month and a half later.
