Skype Voucher Not Valid

Hi Guys, just bought a Skype voucher today at Coles (40% off) and could not redeem it online. Went through the skype forum and quite a few people are affected as well. Spoke to support and was told my voucher is a UKASH voucher and they no longer valid. I was told to approach PaySafeCard and obtain another voucher from them.

Will wait for an outcome and post update but just to warn other members about this.

Has anyone encounter the same?

P.S. UKASH number starts with 633

      Back to Skype support…

  • +1

    Hope this help:

I've just successfully refunded All 4 $25 Skype Card from Coles. Need a bit of wait for the store manager to come out, but once I explain to them and show them the screenshot of "Unknown error…" from the redeem screen, they go ahead and refund all 4 (3 untouched, one scratched).

Still have 1 $25 Skype Card I bought from Woolie a few months ago and tried and got the same problem. Hope I can dig up the receipt and show Woolie the screenshot as well for a refund.

  • Im in the same boat…I have $10 and $25 voucher bought from coles yesterday and seems the $10 ones work fine, but the $25 ones always comes back with Unknown Error. Spent countless errors talking with Microsoft and transferred 5x to different Microsoft departments before they eventually hung up on me. Anyway, went to the Coles store and they said they couldn't help me and to ring Skype. Ofcourse there's no phone number to call Skype support.

  • What Skype customer support told me:

    Hello,

I would like to inform you that the voucher you had is powered by UKASH payment system and was now being removed by Skype as a payment method. Customer who purchased vouchers after October 31st and were unable to redeem will be redirected to Paysafe, as UKASH was already part of Paysafe, for support. Skype vouchers will be completely pulled out of the market soon.

Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding regarding the matter.

    Best regards,

  • Both my $10 cards bought at Coles activated ok.
