    Cash rewards?

  • Will it be better for the Nikon DSLR D3300?

I already have few class 10 cards from this MSY deal however it could be bit slower for DSLR

    • +2

      Hi Bappy,

      Yes, absolutely.
This card runs U3 and will be a better option for your Nikon =)

      Regards
      Francesca

      • Thanks, Got one.

        • Thank you :)

        • Me too.

          Oh, and the D3300

      • Hi Francesca - what's the difference between these cards and this deal.

        • Hi exc3113nce,

The link shows the Ultra microSD, which runs UHS-I.
The card in this deal is a U3, good for 4K recording and Go Pro users =)

          Cheers
          Francesca

        • @francesca2148: Do I need adaptor to use in Nikon D3300? If yes, send me a link to buy one

        • @Danger: It comes with an SD adapter, as per the deal post.

      • cheers, also got one for my D3300. going for holiday soon, so why not :D

      • Thanks uzz30..But I have never used or bought any SD cards before..Do i need any adaptor to get it work in Camera?

        • +1

The D3300 takes standard SD cards, the card in this deal is a Micro SD but it comes with the SD adapter so it will work.

For best results with the D3300 I use and recommend the Sandisk Extreme Pro, it's worth shopping around for.

        • +1

@uzz30: Thanks uzz…Bought this one and see how it goes and next time i will buy Extreme Pro if not happy with it

        • +3

@Danger: If you are saving your files as jpeg (any quality and size of jpeg), you won't have a problem. If you're saving in .nef (ie. raw) in continuous/burst mode, you might notice some slow down.

Here are the benchmarks for the card you just bought (at a great price)
          http://www.cameramemoryspeed.com/reviews/sd-cards/sandisk-ex…

          Sequential Write: 54.3 MB/s
          Sequential read: 75.0 MB/s

In perspective, on the 3300, a jpeg will be under 5 megabytes. The 3300 can take 5 photos per second, requiring (5x5) 25 megabytes per second (it's not the whole story, but it's close enough). You've got 54 megabytes per second write speed on this card. That's more than enough.

        • @DeWalt: You made me feel great about this purchase. Excellent explanation..Thanks Mate! Appreciated

        • @DeWalt: +1 DeWalt,

The D3300 can also only shoot at burst mode (12-bit raw file) for 2.2 seconds before hitting its buffer capacity. (IE: You cannot simply burst mode for longer, irrespective of a higher card speed). Refer: https://photographylife.com/nikon-dslr-buffer-capacity-compa…. 60mb/s is more than enough.

Nonetheless, this card is a good deal. Noting write speed becomes less relevant when your equipment cannot utilise the full benefit. (Have an Extreme Pro 95mb/s, which is overkill for my D610 Full Frame due to its buffer limitations)

      • Uzz30, in your D3300, is the microsdxc as fast as the standard sized SD card, all else being equal (i.e same make series and capacity of card)?

        Ta

        • Yes, if your microSDxc card is capable of the same read and write speeds (these are the really important specifications) then the use of a microSDXC with a quality SD adapter (like SanDisk) won't have any effect.

        • +1

          @uzz30:

awesome, thanks for replying! looking at the sandisk extreme pro 64gb and they seem to be the same specs for sd and microsd versions but with the advantage of being able to swap to a tablet for larger screen viewing etc.

sorry to revitalise an old thread to get your attention, couldn't send a PM!

    Awesome grabbed one, thanks TA!

    done! An automatic reflex action?!?!

  • +7

    Oh jeez..
    takes out wallet

    • +10

      Cannot remember your card info?
      You haven't bought enough.

  • +2

I have used 2 of these exact same cards bought from the same deals on my Sony A6000. They work amazingly well. Burst shots get saved almost immediately to the card, reviewing pictures is very fluid and top performance when copying them back to my computer.

    • How do you use this in camera? Do you use an adapter?

      • Hi humbala,

        Yes with a SD adapter.

        Cheers
        Francesca

      • yes, with the adapter that came with the card. Last time this deal was posted, someone posted a comment with some tests that someone ran on the card with and without adapter, and there was absolutely no difference, so you will be ok

  • +3

Shortest ever time from reading deal to clicking purchase.

    • Longest ever time from purchasing to using (still have an unopened one from a recent $20 deal).

  • Can i use it for gopro ?

  • Thanks TA! Got one!

  • +1

This is probably a slightly better deal for larger size: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/219383

    • Yeah really torn. It says 80 mb/s but is that real world. Which is faster?

      • +2

Biggest problem is whether your device is SDXC vs SDHC compatible I would guess. The evo+ should be slightly better. The standard evo's are slightly better than Sandisk Extreme per reviews.

        • Thanks will go with Samsung.

        • Actually the U class seems to be 10mb (class 10) vs 30mb (even faster).

        • @Thiefsie: The Samsung is U1 but class 10 and it says read speeds up to 80 mb/s whereas Sandisk 60 mb/s. I'm very confused.

    • The Samsung Evo+ claims higher speed 980MB/s) but is U1 whereas this card is U3. Is that a deal breaker?

  • The webpage at https://pcbyte.com.au/index.php/checkout/onepage/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Trying to check out. Anyone else getting issues??

    • Just worked fine for me fwiw :)

  • Is this any good to put in a phone for extra memory?

  • Aw, only one per customer? I'd like 4?

  • got one, thanks TA :)
