SanDisk 32GB Ultra Micro SDHC - Is it SDSDQUA-032G-U46A or SDSDQUA-032G-A11A? The latter has plenty of neg review.

  • +3

wow thats really good. must be clearing out old stock? These are probably the older slower version? (although still plenty fast)

    • These are slower cards, but good for mobile I guess (Not DSLR/Action cam).

  • +1

I saw these 64GB cards at Office Works today for $20 . I am guessing not the fastest but still class 10 http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/toshiba-64-…

    review http://www.storagereview.com/toshiba_microsd_class_10_uhsi_r…

    • Out of stock :(

      • they had them on shelves at Southport (well the card to take to the checkout)

        • Not sure about qld but when I checked outline just after the link was posted it was out of stock at every store in Melbourne.

        • @mark96:
Just dropped then, the cards for the $20 have been replaced with a model 3 times the price. So I guess it was out of stock.

A while ago I got the SanDisk SSD 128GB + Free 32GB SanDisk Ultra MicroSD Card deal and the card was a UQ46A (from the Varsity Branch). It's still in the packet with the rest of the collection….

For those not infinately attuned to the collective consciousness.
BOGOF is ABBREVIATION -> buy one, get one free.
Am I the only one that doesn't know all these acronyms? FWIW HTH.

    • Good thing you did not take that as BOGAN!

    • FWIW BOGOF can DIAF AFAIC

    • I didn't know either…. I always thought it was

can the cat6e cable be used as Internet cable between my old pc and router?

    • +4

Yes, that's exactly its function :)

      • +1

        thanks!

  • Guys, it's the up to 48mb/s version. My 32gb from the SSD was that.

  • +3

dont buy yet, soon we will have pcbyte, shoppingexpress, etc beat this price!
hint: posted by Tightarse of course

      2x 64gb ultras for $40?

      • +2

        nah, maybe just 2x 32gb for $15

    • +1

I hope they have 64gb micro sd cards…hint hint

    • Can't wait :)

  • Good deal, I'm in…

  • Holy sweet jesus, I was trying to buy one of those flat 15m Cat6 cables tonight and finally ordered one for pickup this weekend. Now I can get two for the price of one at the new $8 each price.

I wouldn't normally pay by Amex at MSY due to the surcharge, but there's a Shop Small promo on at the moment (spend $20 or more, get $10 back), and MSY is on the map.

    Count me in too. :)

    • Hi Colin, I was just wondering how you searched for MSY on the map and which location specifically?

    • i went to MSY Ultimo and saw no AMEX labels. Are you sure they are on the list?

      • +2

        Only ACT branch accepts AMEX….

        • Fortunately for me, I'm in the ACT. I didn't realise that the other MSY's didn't accept Amex. Sorry guys.

  • are these ok to use in a dashcam?

    • Had issues using one of these in a G1WH where the very last clip/file in a recording would be unwatchable/corrupted.

Switched over to an old Samsung EVO and then some random Kingston 64GB off OzBargain and no such issues.

Your mileage may vary, best to do a search with your dashcam model and worst-case, be prepared to replace it with another model/brand.

  • If ordering online, it only adds one free card regardless of how many you add to the cart at $20.

You'll need to place multiple orders for buying more than 1.

    (This is for the microSD)

    • edit: nevermind

  • WRT the Edimax HP-5103K - mine work fine with good enough throughput. Just note that they are wide and block the adjacent outlet in a standard dual wall outlet. To reclaim your lost power point, get one of these $3 piggy-back leads rather than a standard 4-way power board which contains all sorts of components that effectively kill an ethernet-over-power signal.

  • I want Samsung evo!

    • Samsung Evo micro SD 32GB cards I ordered from PCCG have problems reading from some built in card readers. OTOH the Sandisk cards have no issues whatsoever.

      • My surface pro has issues with SanDisk

  • $10.91 shipping to metro melb :(

  • I just picked up 4 from North Melbourne MSY no probs and I was the only on in there. I will be putting them in my Android TV Box and hopefully running Mame or similiar.

    • running Mame

You can do that? What do you use as controller, fighting stick?

      • I haven't yet but I planned to research it this weekend, There are various controllers like the Tronsmart Mars but it's possible to get XBOX 360 controllers working otherwise I'll start with the good old k400r.

Reading on the train this morning there is supposedly at 24gb collection so when I saw this on MSY I thought i'd grab a few to put them all on.

Seems there are lots of Mame games available and various emulators as per FreakTab.com forums.

I plan to try this on either my Tronsmart R86 or Beelink X2

        V

        • Really, half the terms you have used, went over my head! :p

I'm keen to get a setup for myself, hope you don't mind if I PM you.

I have a Logitech F710 wireless gamepad, will that work for Mame in PC or Android phone?

        • +1

I don't mind but I've just been researching it the last few days and learning.

Incase anyone is interested the model on my one is SDSDQUA-032G-UQ46A

  • Lol, 10.91 shipping to Sydney Northwest for 2 microSD cards ????

    • The trick with msy is to never rely on postage. I agree the prices they charge are delicious though.

    • Use Click and Collect for better results. You can reserve stock, pay in store and walk out with your stuff.

Their stock system is fairly reasonable in terms of updates, unlike Officeworks where the stocks showing on the website can be days out of date.

  • VIC Clayton is sold out of micro SD deal.

    • Back order available ! We have plenty of stock in our warehouse

      • The sales staff at Clayton turned away at least a dozen people between 12 and 2 when I was there.

  • Picked up 4 sd cards. Great price. Thanks.

  • Re: microSD cards
What does the packaging say about its read speed?

    • +1

What does the packaging say about its read speed?

      Quoting from the front….

      Up to 48 MB/s**

      Quoting from the back…

** Up to 48MB/s read speed; write speed lower. Blah, blah, blah.

    • My cards say "Up to 80 MB/s" read speed.

  • Bought 2 x 15m flat Cat6 cables and 3 McAfee's. Good value…

  • If I put quantity of 2 of the sandisks it shows x as the extra rather than 2 extra (for 4 in total)… Am I to assume someone knows that if someone orders 2 cards, we are entitled to 4 as part of the promotion?

    • Okay I visited a store instead, picked two sets up, looks like they are the blahblah-UQ46A ones where write speed is around 15 megs per sec sustained (peaks at 60 megs per sec for the first few seconds), read is around 74 megs per sec so pretty chuffed!

  • comes with adapter, sweet

  • Are the micro sd cards sold out? Stores have stock on website but the front page picture says sold outout?
