Cracking deal!! Hawaii is horrendously expensive though so do your research before jumping on the deal!

    • love Hawaii.. but its never a cheap holiday.
Inter island flights, car rental, hotels.

      • Inter island flights arent too bad, car rental is pretty reasonable if you shop around like $40 a day. The hotels though, they can be painful :)

        • Unless you book in advance, inter island flights can be pricey, or totally booked out.
Early flights means you get your car relatively quickly. But you cant check in to the hotels until the afternoon.
Checked in baggage can be pricey with Hawaiian air, with a slight discount if you sign up for membership.

Afternoon flights and car rentals may mean waiting an hour or two (in the sun) to get a car.
A lot of the tourist spots get full by early morning, so you have to get up early. Valet parking in Honolulu costs a fortune.

If you want a pacific island holiday with snorkeling, etc., - it's better to go to Vanuatu or Fiji. Shorter flights and just as good.. ymmv.

        • @jimbo jones:

I've never been to Fiji or Vanuatu..
Got any hotels/resorts that you personally recommend? Nothing too exy.

          @jimbo jones:

I've done hawaii 4 times, never had a pricey or booked out flight to another island I think your maybe just leaving bookings way too late. Our last trip we did 3 islands I think it cost me about $700 for the pair of us to do all those flights, big deal.

Paying a couple extra bucks for checked in luggage isnt really something to let sour a overseas holiday. Ive never had to wait an hour or 2 for a car, and if I did ever have to wait they all have offices its not like you need to stand around in blistering sun.

Who uses Valet parking? if your a guy complaining about paying $10 extra to check a bag in im not sure why your using Valet services anyway, waikiki is the only place that gets busy with parking but its not like there isnt a million other options, theres tons of free and public parking especially once your out of waikiki, can park anywhere.

Loosen up, stop looking for things to whine about and plan your holidays a little better in advance. Hawaii is a beautiful destination - yeah it costs a little money, but what overseas holiday doesnt.

  • What will be the AUD/USD exchange rate in May 2016?

    • who knows. could be the same, but most likely down.

    • Buy USD now and it won't matter.

if you knew the answer to this you'd have plenty of 0's in your bank account already, everything is a guess, the best guess probably being it will be the opposite to what everyone thinks
