    Thanks OP , but the price in Qld has been sitting around $1.04 for weeks.

    • +2

      I'm not understanding what relevance the price has. In fact, the lower the price, the higher the percentage discount.

      And unless it changed today, the price went up to about $1.40 generally from Thursday around Brisbane.

          So a 4c discount from $1.50 is more value to you than a 4c discount from $1.04?

          That's bizarre logic.

          @jdr:

          Correct.

        • +1

          @nocure: @nocure: 4c off $1.50 = 2.7% off. 4c off $1.04 = 3.8% off. So I'd say jdr is right there.

        • @nocure:

          Your Maths fail you..

          Here is an example

          Would you prefer a 4c discount on something 4c or a 4c discount on something $1000?

          @Roary:

          It makes no difference, it's still the same saving.

        • @jv:

          IS it?

          Ok I will buy 100 lollies at 4c each with a 4c each discount.

          You can buy a bag of 100 lollies for $4 with a 4 cent discount.

          Still the same thing?

          @Roary:

          Still the same thing?

          Yep, you saved $4 on both transactions…

        • @jv:

          I give up….

      it was $1.04 for a while… this week (Tuesday I believe) it jumped to $1.39… :( gold Coast if you're wondering

    • Not sure where you are in QLD, but I'm here paying $1.34 for normal unleaded.

  • +1

    Not sure where you live but this is been going on here for years. As well as Coles and WW similar deals..

    IGA is only redeemable at Puma stations

    • +1

      What??

      From what I read, this is nothing like the Colesworth offers. With this, you can fill up at ANY service station, and get 4c per litre refunded to you at the IGA store. This is a much better deal than the 4c a litre off at the Colesworth servos.

      • Your right.. This offer excludes WA..

        http://www.iga.com.au/promotions/iga-fuel-deal/

        Here in WA its only selected servos (namely Puma and a few others)

      • So you have to then go back to IGA after fueling, to get your maximum 3.20 cash back.?

        • Yes. Seems like a hastle, but if you're going to shop at IGA, get your fuel first, then go to IGA to do the shopping. :)

      • You are correct, you can fill up wherever Is cheaper then shop at Iga spend $30 and they take money off your.

    • You can fill up anywhere you want.

  • that's not gonna attract shoppers…

  • You get 4c off per litre no matter what you pay. You can fill up anywhere you want. I get around $1.60 back as my car has a smallish tank, but I still appreciate it as it's an extra saving if I go to iga

  • My local IGA price is too high, double even triple price fruits and vegetables stop most local shoppers, I prefer drive 3KM than the IGA next door.

  • Must surrender receipt - a deal breaker if you keep an expense log.

    • They normally ask me if I want it back - I assume they would then mark it as used.

      Is limited to 80 litres (80 x 0.04c = $3.20), also need to spend $30 to qualify

      Sometimes I struggle to spend $30 as I only buy the specials at IGA as their general prices are higher than at the local Woolies.

    • Can you present a copy for your expense log?

  • why do i suspect that they have this reverse fuel voucher scheme is to defeat people like me who pick up abandoned vouchers from trolleys ;)

  • "You can fill up the car anywhere, so you could get 4c off from Coles or Woolies (if you are entitled) and then another 4c off at Iga"
    So you could get 12c discount if you bought fuel at Woolies servo and spent $5 or more there (2 x 4c Woolies discounts plus 4c IGA discount)

  • Where is the list of Victoria stores that accept this? Says selected all over the offer and website but nowhere there is an actual list?

    • Best way is to ask store directly

      • -1

        Accept that is not the best way because it means I have to travel/call the store and ask.
