Best Way of Spending The $50 or $100 eBay Voucher from Click & Collect Deal

Dumb question really, but has anyone figured out the best thing to buy with the voucher as a bargain?
Several items I'd like are slightly over priced on ebay so it kinda shoots me down on the concept of using it for an item.

Anyone know of anything you could buy which is "as good as cash" (supermarket vouchers, that kind of thing?)
If I could see a reasonably priced Samsung 850 Pro 1TB I'd consider it - but they all seem marked up.
Also I'd consider a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 64gb (but ONLY a genuine Aussie one from a big, warranty honouring retailer, like OfficeWorks, JB, BigW, Good Guys etc) - but it's a brand brand new item this week and what I am seeing online looks like imports.

Any thoughts on "good as cash" items I could pick up before Nov 30?

    Gift cards.

    • I was thinking that, but I'm a pretty frugal person generally, I don't use itunes, I don't go to myer etc - couldn't spot any for coles / woolworths etc.

I personally bought prepaid satchels and a micro sd card. Just look to buy stuff you need anyway.

  • Christmas gifts.

I'm nearly 40, I stopped giving xmas gifts nearly a decade ago, my whole family don't bother with that stuff anymore, it's awesome.

This is one reason why I didn't want to take "advantage" of the $50-$100 off your next eBay purchase coupons.

Because now you need to buy something you want, rather than something you need (or wanted regardless of existence of coupon)

    • True, true - but I bought parts for a small business I support, so they'll re-imburse me for the original outlay, the $100 is "free"

  • I thought you cant use buy gift cards ? or was that only on the shopping deal

  • Buy stamps at 10% off face value. Might take you a while to use them, but it will save a few $

  • I'm in the same boat, but rather than start a new thread, any ideas for something cool (rather than gift cards and stamps), any good deals on eBay at the moment? (I have enough eneloops and SSD's) maybe some tech?

    • I've setup a search filter to email me when "ebay" deals are posted, nothing yet tho.
Off the Note 5 now, S7 is too close and Note 5 too expensive. Considering a 1TB 850 Evo though.

  • Anyone know if you make an offer on ebay, what happens next if the offer is accepted? Would it ends up in your cart ready for check out?

I got this $100 voucher too but want to buy two items, one of them I can make an offer. Not sure if I can check out both in one go so I don't loss the value of my voucher.

    Anyone knows?

  • Ended up opting for a 1TB SSD, I'll probably regret it before the 30'th but hey, it's $100 saved.

    Thanks all

  • Are they having the promo again this month or not? It was once a month to now, but it's 20th already and haven't seen a new promo come up.

    • Most of us are still holding on to the $100 vouchers. There are still 10 days left and with Black Friday Sales in US on 27th Nov, I think there is a good chance ebay will come up with something ( maybe 20% site-wide) next week.

  • Ah I am still struggling to find anything I need on eBay to use my $100 voucher.

    • My 1TB 850 Evo arrived today, seems to be working fine.

  • Dont forget - time is running out

    • 1TB Samsung 850 Evo in my PS4 already :)

      • Ive been trying to buy some gift cards but there nothing around :( guess i am going to buy a sliver coin

        • Actual silver silver? Not a ad investment, how much is it / ounce now?

        • @hamwhisperer: only about $23 but eBay is about $30 , was going to buy one for a Xmas present , better then buying present that would be useless in 3 months . there like no gift cards on ebay any more
