Logitech Powershell + Battery for iPhone 5/5S $1 at JB Hi-Fi Osborne Park (WA) - RRP $79.95

570

These obviously weren't popular sellers, but hey, they come with a 1500mAh battery and for only a dollar it's hard to go wrong. Not sure if this is all stores or just my local, and yes, the original sticker underneath does genuinely say $79.95 on it.

Hah, didn't buy any actually. I can't be bothered ebaying them and I figured I'd give you all a crack at them.

      • who said ebay them?
they will be good as powerbanks, just a little of modification and you will be good to go. it has 1500 mAh battery which will charge your phone twice.

Charge your phone twice? Maybe if you use a 3315.

A 1500mah battery would probably give me about 1/3 charge accounting for losses. My phone has what I would call an average size battery.

I got one of these for $29 a while back. It's great but for one fatal flaw - the stupid analogue d-pad. I didn't find any apps that supported it, so it essentially just acts like a really mushy d-pad that misses a LOT of key presses. Practically unusable.

I guess it would probably be a pretty easy jailbreak tweak to treat the analogue input as digital, but I haven't found any existing tweaks and haven't the foggiest how to do it myself.

I also paid $29 and I agree with what you said.

I ended up giving mine away to the Salvos. They're not worth much on eBay.

You could use it as an external battery but it's huge!

      • I don't think Salvos take electronic goods, particularly things with phone batteries in them. Hope you didn't just stuff it in one of their bins!

        • Yep, I made sure I donated only to a Salvos that takes electrical. Not all do.

So much OH&S these days means that so much just ends up in landfill.

  • Although it is useless as a game controller (barely supported by anything), it works great as an external battery (70% charge)

    WA
Osborne Park Store - No Stock - I bought the last one.
    Joondalup Store - No Stock
Malaga Store - Have stock, but dunno how many, try to call first, I bought one from there, price match Osborne Park store's price $1.

  • I got mine from JB hi fi at Broadway, Sydney about a year ago. They had heaps at the time.

By the way they were selling, there's a good chance they've still got stock.
