Do You Feel Awkward Using Coupons/Vouchers?

I know many people who refuse to use vouchers because they feel ashamed/ perceive they will looked upon as 'cheap'.

However, when the voucher doesn't involve a physical copy/showing your phone, they are more than happy to take up the deal.

How do you feel about using vouchers?

Edit: If you're voting Yes, please give reason.

    Not the slightest bit m8
I actually feel proud, that I have gotten my moneys worth xD

    • I dont even understand the question, never felt anything but joy and happiness when being able to save with a voucher

      • Would you consider yourself a extrovert?

        • No, not at all. I am definitely an introvert.

        • @Hikey: Haha, so true, joy and happiness is the feeling.

  • I bought a number of scoopon deals for food and so far I felt fine in one of the places since it was quite busy and filled with people using vouchers. With the other place… Although I live so close to it, I haven't used up my vouchers there because I feel really anxious over going into an almost empty place and using a voucher.. :( Usually I feel alright using vouchers when eating out with others though.

Sometimes you just need to BE YOURSELF, don't give a shit about what others think/say about you. :)

  • There is a tipping jar if you think the food and services are good even if you use a voucher etc then just tip them. If treated as second class customers because of the voucher just don't go back again.

  • Heh, im a student we never feel shame for using vouchers, we basically live on bread and butter. If there's a lunch special around the corner, I'm there. Every dollar i save goes towards my hecs. But i always spend more than i save cause of ozbargain :(. Spend more to save aye?

Sometimes i do pay full price. E.g dominos always have some promotion and discount. I only buy it when i can save alot. But every time I ordered with the promotion, less and less topping go on my pizza :(. The bigger the discount. The less crap on my pizza. I threw away a full sized pizza once, cause it was so salty and fk all on it, looked like 'fairy dust pepperoni pizza' lol. I was too shy to argue over 4 bucks. I went ahead to pay full price twice, just curious on the portion of the topping. And of course there's more topping these two times.

    Anyone else get that too?

    • Never paid full price dominos! Wouldn't know lol

  • wow did not realise how many people always eat still!!! lol i feel bad if i eat out to much. not in the money sense just i don't know what i am eating like portion and nutrition wise!!!

also the fact that i stutter so i try to avoid this stuff!

then again i might only eat out once a week or twice i am that lazy and its usually the same places because they know me and know how i like my food :D

    • We never ate out because of money. When finances got better we ate out every other Thursday (pay day) - I'm talking a hamburger or fish & chips, not restaurants.
Now we're never home, or busy, so if it isn't restaurants it's take-away. I so miss home cooked meals. I think something went very wrong with my life.

      • Try ready made meals like muscle meals?

  • I only use vouchers for fast food, mostly hungry jacks and dominos

    • Why not other places?

      • I haven't found any vouchers applicable to my local places other than the large fast food chains.
Even subway isn't part of the club for those deals.

  • Use vouchers, no worries

  • Why the heck not? I make it a competition to see who can use the most on deals that are actually good value!
