CHRISTMAS SALE 2015 Catalogue 12PM - NEW OFFERS EVERYDAY, CHECK BACK TOMORROW! @ 12PM AEDT

Those two WD Reds are the cheapest according to s’ice. Worth mentioning the free delivery.

It seems like there are a few deals coming over the coming weeks.

I check their website on a daily basis since they sometimes come up with pretty good prices (not always!).

Edit 1: forgot to mention there are several other WDs on special as well.

Edit 2: 10% discount still valid right now on Wed morning

  • Seagate NAS 4TB trending at $224 @ MSY, so while this is good for the WD which is a bit more expensive than the Seagate, the comparable Seagate is not that far behind in price either. Brand Loyalty excluded and all that. Personally I prefer to pick up hard drives if I can rather than buy online because I'm paranoid about handling of them during shipping, whereas stores who buy in bulk get proper transport of hard drives to their store.

    • Which MSY store is it? I couldn't find any Seagate NAS 4TB on MSY website?

Edit: found it. It's so hard finding anything on MSY website

  • I called Shopping Express earlier chasing the 8TB Seagate as it indicates all HDD -10% but apparently not?? so have gone and purchased from MSY

  • Question - A WD Red doesn't have to be installed into a NAS does it? It can operate perfectly well in a desktop that's powered on 24/7? And it's quicker than a green but comes with less warranty than a black?

    • +1

      Yes exactly.

      • Cheers.

So the Seagate 4tb NAS spins at 5,900rpm vs 5,400rpm on the WD Red. The Seagate has 8gb nand for SSHD. Seems like the Seagate is the better option for the price.

        • Trust me when I say that depending on the other constraints of your setup, that won't make a difference. Remember the bottlenecks that directly affects the use of a network attached storage such as network speed and SATA speed the HDD is connected to.

  • Flyer says '1 discount per user' - what exactly does that mean as if i add 2 x WD 4TB to my cart it discounts only 1, but if I add a 6TB drive to my cart it gives me the discount on the 3rd drive.

Seems to be 1 discount per user per item? Anyone else tried?

    • I get the same here, trying to order 3x4TB but discount only applies on 1x4TB?

      • Try ordering one… then another one… then another one… not sure if it would work but worth trying.

        • Went ahead and ordered 1xWD RED 4TB which went through for $220 delivered. Came back for 2nd, unfortunately only free shipping applied this time around and 1xWD RED 4TB reverted to $245 delivered. So appears the promotion is 1 HD drive per user? Good deal anyhow thanks!

  • It says free shipping and 10% off for internal drives but the 4TB WD Green comes up with $9.40 shipping for me :(.

  • It says a further 10% off

I don't see it in the cart.

    Too hard….

    • +1

Add the product to the cart > go to the cart > enter your postcode > discount will show up

      • I get free delivery but no "Further 10% off"

  • Bought a 4TB WD Purple for my PoE CCTV system. Cheers.
