  • Wasn't it 129$ a few posts back? 200$ is a quiet expensive for a SD 400 CPU 1GIG RAM and 8GB ROM.

    • +1

      129 carrier locked
      199 unlocked

Nothing wrong with those specs for a windows phone. Typing on a 640 now and works very well.

      • This phone specs are better than most Android alternative being sold locally at this price. The closest Android alternative would probably be the LG Spirit which can be found for ~$200.

Yeah if you are an Optus user than the $129 deal at kmart is the better deal for you.

        • Wasn't the Hauwei Y550 the same specs as this for 49$ a few months back? Well not the screen size or the back camera. However the CPU and the amount of RAM is similar.

        • 480p screen on the y550 makes it a non starter for many people.

          Similar cpu gpu etc though.

        • @tonyjzx:

True that, but for $200 I think a Xiaomi Redmi note 2 or a K3 note would be a much better buy for a 20-30$ more.

        • @HandsomeMonkey:

Those can't be bought from a local retailer and don't come with 2 years warranty etc. Most people don't like to flash roms to get a useable phone, they want things to just work out of the box.

        • @Ronnnie:

          Fair enough, :)

        • @HandsomeMonkey:

Oh yeah I personally wouldn't buy a phone that lacks band 28. Which is a big neg for me with those Chinese phones. Which means no 4g coverage for those phones where I live.

However I'm sure some people are happy to get a significantly better spec phone and play around with roms and live with the risks.

  • For comparison sakes, you can get the Optus variant unlocked if you have recharged at least $80.00 of credit, or owned the phone for six months and pay the $25.00 unlock fee. (It's a $80 unlock fee otherwise so may as well recharge away).

  • Looking at getting a smartphone for my teenage son for xmas and was looking at the Samsung J1 which is a similar price. I have no idea about specs so does anyone know if this windows phone is a better deal?

  • Out of stock, unfortunately.
