Jack Daniel's Silver Select Bourbon for $89.99 + $7 Postage @ ALDI Liquor

70

Nicks.com.au $150
mybottleshop.com.au $129.99

Created by the makers of the world’s best-selling Whiskey, Jack Daniel’s Silver Select comes from hand selected single barrels. These charred oak barrels are aged in areas of the warehouse where the large temperature variations result in an intense maturation.

As with all Jack Daniel’s Whiskey, Silver Select is filtered through sugar maple charcoal which enhances the mellow characteristics of the whiskey.
Silver Select is never blended as every single barrel has a unique flavour and personality. Amber gold in colour. Spicy and lightly fruity. More Bourbon like than other Jack Daniel's.

Oranges, sweet corn, vanilla, coconut and banana notes. Powerful and spicy.

Dan's don't stock the Silver Select - Dans is the inferior Barrel Select version……

      • Inferior because? Please do explain the difference.

        • The Barrel Select is 45% alc and the Silver Select is 50%. One is 'watered down'.

        • I wouldn't say 'watered down' is the mark of a cheaper whiskey. A legendary bourbon (jacks isn't bourbon), pappy Van winkle 20, is approximately 90 proof also.

The hallmark of a good whiskey is age, mashbill, rickhouse location, and a bit of luck I expect too.

Note only available in the USA export market via duty free stores at airports and other locations
according to mybottle shop - so I take it this a parallel import??

  • Aldi don't deliver to WA. Might want to mention that :( What a tease that was.. Happy for someone to say I'm wrong though!

    • Unfortunately that is the case for the moment - East Coast only.

  • Its really $96.99 as you need to pay $7 postage for one

  • aldi's really should consider "click and collect"
