  • I think Big W gives 3 years warranty on these as well? Can somebody confirm this.

    • Yes, via AWA/Telefix.

I had an AWA a while ago, it was the 32inch model.. and yes all AWA comes with 3 year warranty cos its the Big W home brand basically. The quality of these tv's is quite good i think, the main issue is with the contrast, as in the white amongst white and black amongst black.. the contrast isnt quite up to scratch with name sets.. however having said that after tinkering with the settings for a while i got it to be pretty much equal to my Samsung. So overall at this price i think you'd have to be pretty happy. Only annoying thing i found with my one was it had a bright blue light on the front to indicate its turned on, very distracting actually, need to cover it with tape or something :)

Not all AWAs come with a 3 year warranty - some come with a 1 year. I work Home Ent at Big W so I know from experience.

        This one does.

    • AWA isn't a Big W home brand. It is a brand own by AWA Australia a company that offer low price electronic product and repair service.

      • It's a Big W house brand - regardless of whether or not it's owned by a third party company. You won't see them in any other retailers.

  • Looks like a pretty good deal. Pity it's only 8ms, and no 100hz or anything like that. Also an extra HDMI would be good.

But our previous family tv was an AWA (CRT), it gave a really good picture and it lasted 20 years. Don't know if that means anything for LCD AWA's.
