Would these work for a Macbook 2011 and if so, which one do you recommend

I wouldn't have a clue sorry, but this reviewer may help on the Sandisk:

Installed in my 2007 MacBook Pro 15 inch and it runs marvelously! Even though the system doesn't utilize the drives full potential it runs circles around the HDD I had in there before. Highly recommended!

and this also for the Samsung https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7326435

I used an 850 EVO in my Macbook pro 2011 and it was excellent, I replaced my DVD drive though so I could use the existing 500GB for movies etc.

Yeah this is for sure the way to go.
I still use my 2011 Macbook Pro daily cause the SSD I put in keeps it pretty fast.

By far my fastest booting device still!

Macbook 2011 13" unibody owner here

All 2.5" SSD will work, the steps are simple you just need a special screwdriver to undo the covers.

I would go for the samsung evo 850, better read/write speed

    • they do, cos i have one in my 2011early MBP. over almost 5 years never let me dowwn. well the one i have is Intel310 120GB. runs latest OS perfectly smooth. I will never buy any other laptop in my life ever again, MBP forever. remove optical drive for extra storage and buy a USB-CD drive to be still able tohave that funciton.

    The M.2 version of the evo850 250G is $79.95

  • How long does it usually take for something to ship from Amazon, does it vary between the type of device? How long would this SSD take to arrive?

    Thanks!

depends on your shipping method. Cheapest would be 9-12 business day, i.e., within 2 weeks.
Don't worry, Amazon service is superior.

      • Ahhh, two weeks isn't too bad, nice. Thanks for the help buddy!!!

  • Sandisk and Samsung, do they have international warranty cover?

  • Mbp2011 (graphic card issue) using Samsung evo850 250gb + ori HHD = 750gb space & ssd speed.
