  • had to login just to give OP a thumbs-up!! thanks.

I don't need it but I just bought one.

    • +1

Same, delivered to work so the missus doesn't find out… lol

  • Am I too late or doing something wrong?

The price shows up fine but when I click add to cart (qty 2) it says 'no longer available from this seller' and prices are $400 each. On the sidebar it has other sellers for ~$230 each.

The 480gb adds to cart fine.

Edit: randomly decided to try it again and seems to be working. /shrugs.

    • i just got the same, says out of stock

  • Seems like it may have sold out: "We're sorry. The item SanDisk Ultra II 960GB SATA III 2.5-Inch 7mm Height Solid State Drive (SSD) With Read Up To 550MB/s- SDSSDHII-960G-G25 is no longer available from the seller you selected."

  • It looks like it's out of stock for the 960Gb. For me it says "In stock on November 29, 2015. Order it now."

  • Thanks mate…Got one $282 delivered for the 960gb. Accidentally paid in AU$.

    • +2

You mean you accidentally bought one you didn't need Lol

      • That too…i did mention I wanted a 500gb on your post the other day for the 240gb. But this will do…thanks again.

    • +1

Seems like you bought the one that I was buying -_-

Had 2 in cart and on checkout confirmation screen. Clicked buy and somehow it didn't go through.

By the time I tried again the item was out of stock.

Talked to the Amazon online rep and he was saying items are only reserved in cart for 15 mins so I guess I saved it for you from the other guys who missed out in the messages above yours lol.

Guess I'll just buy the B&H one. Still a great price but frustrating…

  • Looks expired kids.

  • now just to work out whether to clone or do fresh install hmmmm

    • haha same, i use CCC to clone once from my mac from stock HDD to my intel310 SSD 5 years ago. guess time to upgrade!!!!

    • 960gb for that price is sold out

    Arg, I was able to resist yesterday to the temptation but when I saw the updated price this morning, I ordered straight away. Love you or hate you, I am not sure ><;

  • +1

Just got an email that mine has been sent.

  • +1

Damnit the 960GB is back. I resisted yesterday, not sure if I can resist a few more minutes today…

    • +2

You shouldn't check in the first place..

  • is the concierge worth it for disk cloning?
    $20 extra US

    • Could anyone please confirm is this SSD is compatible with Toshiba Ultrabook Z830?
(My current 128 GB is not enough)
      Thanks in advance,

      • only if your current drive is not soldered to the board which most ultrabooks are

    • No. Use Macrium Reflect free.

  • Just backordered one, thanks!

  • Does anyone know how long this sale will go for?

  • Just got this in email

Your purchase in the past 12 months of the "SanDisk Ultra II 480GB SATA III 2.5-Inch 7mm Height Solid State…" comes with a 1 FREE year of Unlimited Everything cloud storage from Amazon Cloud Drive (a $59.99 value).

    • +1

got this too and check on-line looks like Amazon cloud service doesn't allow you to edit file on your computer so I will just don't redeem

  • I just combined this with a $100 USD Amazon gift card which cost 0.26 bitcoin ($121.35) from http://bitcart.io/ and then $16.95 USD on the credit card for the balance (480GB) I think it will end up costing around $140-145 depending on the CC when it goes thru.
The gift code took about 18 hours after payment

  • Funny, I checked 105USD to AUD in Google & it's 145AUD. Put it in the amazon cart & it's 150AUD? Amazon have their own conversions do they?

    ?

    • you can choose to pay with USD if you want

      • amazon still uses their own figures- so it's 150 + shipping.

*I realize it's not your doing, but it's just extra money amazon tries to fly under the radar as a sort of "handling fee"— but they're using their money conversion to get it so they can advertise the lower pricing, imho.

  • im kinda late to the party, when i add the 480 or 960gb to my cart says cannot ship to your location, but the 120 and 250 will, what am i doing wrong?

  • 249.99 now! … awesome deals over

  • Anyone hooked up two of these and used "Dynamic Disks" on Windows to make them a RAID discs — is it that much faster?

  • thanks just purchased.

It seemed to save in my cart at $199 for a few days, lucky :)

Anyone not get their ssd yet?
I ordered on the 24th November and for shipping info that day.

    Nothing has shown up.
Checked tracking info and says it's been returned to Amazon. Post office can't track the tracking number Amazon provided.
They seem to think it never got to them.

When I log into my amazon account the order isn't there.

I do have an order number from the email though.

Anyone else have any issue like this.
Never had any problems with any orders from amazon.

    • Mine shipped 25th Nov and the latest tracking detail is still "Shipment arrived at Amazon facility US" on 25th Nov, although the overall status still shows to arrive on 10th Dec.
I would expect to somehow see the tracking status to update to e.g., arrive in AU or something like that but no.
Doesn't look good at the moment either, but can only wait until the 10th and see how it goes

      • Contacted amazon and explained the situation.

Received an email stating that they are refunding the money.

Reason for refund: shipping address is undeliverable.

Not sure how they came up with this one as I've had plenty of items shipped from them to this address.

I actually want the drive. It was a great price.

        • That's bad. I definitely want the product and not refund, will have to wait till Thursday to see how it goes

        • +1

          @chonghe:
          Hope you get it mate.
I'm gonna send them another email telling them I don't want a refund but the item.

        • @bbourizk:

How is yours going mate? As I expected I did not receive my item today (I don't believe I will receive it end of today either).
My experience with Amazon has been pleasant in the past but not now anymore.

        • +1

          @chonghe:
          Hey mate.
Did u try the tracking link from the email? Did it say returned to Amazon.
I got an email yesterday that a refund had been issued.

Not sure what happened. Maybe they sold too many and couldn't fulfill all orders but even then they could have let me know and I would have been happy to wait. Instead of sending me shipping notification.

I see the item is still available for $259US with shipping to oz available.

Wonder is anyone who bought one of the 960gb got one.

        • @bbourizk:

I thought you have emailed to say you want a replacement instead?

          http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/86425/35573/ssd.png
I bought a 960GB one, the status has been showing this since 26th Nov. It must have been lost or something wrong. However, Amazon insisted to wait until end of today (my order summary shows arriving 8 p.m. today) which I don't think it will arrive anyway.

I am really not happy, will insist on a replacement unit tomorrow.

        • @chonghe:
After reading your content how it's showing the 10th I thought I'd wait as well…as mine says the 10th as well.

Just sent them an email asking for the item and not wanting a refund.

          Will see what they say.

Let me know if you gets yours please.

        • @bbourizk:

I am very sure that I wouldn't get mine today (I went to the click & collect point yesterday thinking that the item could have arrived but just no update in the system but no, the item wasn't there)

I will live chat tomorrow with them and see if they are willing to re-sent one for me.
          Will update you here.

Weird I thought this deal is hot and many should have bought it. Maybe we are the only one that got issues?

        • +1

          @chonghe:
This is the reply I got.
I understand your concern regarding the email you received that you have issued refund for your order. I'll surely look into this issue for you.

Upon checking the details of your order I see that your order was lost in transit, When this happens our system's automatically process refund for the item. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused to you.

To ensure utmost attention, I've forwarded this issue and your feedback to our Shipping department. I'm sure that they'll look into this and will make sure these issues will never happen again for your future orders.

Be assured that the refund of $200.28 was already processed to your original payment method on December 6, 2015. In this case we don't have option to replace the order.

However, I'd request you to reorder this item, please have it shipped via One-Day shipping and we'll be glad to refund the shipping costs. Just make sure that it's at least shipped or fulfilled by Amazon.

Unfortunately, in spite of all of our efforts, there can sometimes be unforeseen error which are beyond our control which result in packages being lost.

As of now, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. We look forward to serve you soon.

We'd appreciate your feedback. Please use the links below to tell us about your experience today.

          Best regards,
          Anees

        • @bbourizk:

          Thanks for your info.
What do you plan to do?
Given that now the price has increased, if you re-order one would you get the same price as previously then?

Edit: unbelievable, just check my Amazon status and it shows that my item has just been departed from US!! So it is telling me that my SSD has been sitting in the shipping facility for a good 2 weeks+ ?

          http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/86425/35581/ssd.png

Now not sure the "tomorrow 8 p.m." is US time or AU time?

        • @chonghe:

I wrote back saying I'd like to order it again at the original price I paid.

          Haven't heard back yet.
Not sure why we had issues. As you said it seemed like a hot deal so someone else must have bought some drives. Wonder what happened with them.

        • @bbourizk:

I bought the 480gb and it arrived within a week of them sending it.

        • @matthewk85:
          Normally their shipping is quick.

          Glad you got yours.

        • I have the same issue. Ordered on 24/11 and got a email saying arrived in Parcel Point on 26/11!! I went there and nothing has arrived. Then I received 3 emails saying it's awaiting for collection until 11/12. Otherwise it will be shipped back to US.

I went to ParcelPoint 3 times but it's still not arrived. They have checked their system and it is not in Australia yet. I just called Amazon today and they arranged a replacement. Not sure what happened to their tracking system, it should not have said 'arrived' or 'ready to pickup' while it didn't even pass the boarder. Hopefully I should get it this time.

        • @garylau:
The whole thing has been a cockup.

        • @bbourizk:

Mate how is your order going? Did you end up ordering a new one? I hope you finally got your item.
I still didn't receive my item so Amazon has ordered a replacement unit for me.
I really hope I can get it this time.
