Myki, V/Line and regional town bus fares will rise by an average of CPI+2.5 per cent from 1st January 2016

In the 2013-14 Budget Update, the Napthine Government announced that public transport fares will increase by CPI plus 2.5% from 1 January 2015 until 2018.

Action before it is too late! (PTUA have pushed their date earlier and earlier, Suggest to put the order before 30th November 2015)

    What about a Commuter Club Yearly for VLine and regional travel?

    Commuter Club Mykis are only available for metropolitan travel – Zones 1 and 2. PTV has told us that Commuter Club will not be provided for travel on V/Line.

    (However, a Commuter Club Myki bought for metropolitan travel can be used for occasional V/Line travel, using Myki Money for the additional zones.)"

      Last time I checked we have a LABOUR government in Vic! Labour has the power to freeze the increase if they really want to.. just like when they over turned the east-west link.

    Credit card surcharge of $33 - ridiculous and way higher than the cost to process the transaction

      A 2.4% credit card fee isn't that unlikely. They could do better on their rates/merchant gateway though.

      There's still plenty of time to pay via bank deposit to avoid this surcharge.

      Another way of saying this:

      In 9 days time if a ~5 day per week public transport commuter hasn't purchased this, they will have missed out on a bargain.

    Has anyone received their Discounted Myki Yearly Ticket from PTUA yet.I paid for this 2 weeks back and havent received it yet.
