  • anyone own and use this vacuum, any good?

Wife uses one of these at a couple of cleaning jobs and says that it shites over all the others she uses, including Dysons.

not what you want with a vacuum cleaner eh?

      • Hahahahahah! Gold!

  • Miele seems to be on special at HN - C3, S5212

    • c3 model is higher than c1 i beleive.

and yes the c3 is a great vacuum. much better than dyson.

      • Thanks! For those watching: also on special at TGG and JB Hi-Fi.

Now, which one can I get the best discount from?

Best so far is the C3 CatDog for $529, down (with an eBay coupon) to $476 ($488 delivered) less another $13.22 cashback.

        • Hi Lukian, we also have the C3 CatDog on special for $488 at the moment with free metro delivery. It's a great model, with the turbo head perfect for picking up pet fur or even just getting deep into carpet.

Feel free to give us a call on 1300 783 469 if you have any questions about our Miele range!

        • @rhysmac: You haven't given us a reason yet to pay ~$13 more to buy it from you over a large brick and mortar retailer! =)

        • @Lukian: Which ebay coupon are you using? Is it that $100 voucher?

If so, the reason to pay $13 more is to save that coupon for another purchase.

        • @lostn: It's my birthday voucher :)

        • @Lukian: Well then to answer your question, why pay $13 more, you're not. That voucher can be used on something else, so you wouldn't lose it, and if you used it on something else, it wouldn't be $13 more.

I never got a voucher on my b/day. Hmm.

        • @lostn: Seems like the vendors on eBay don't have the bonus bags promo if you buy from their eBay store :(

  • bought one at Myer for $189 a couple months back. It is a bagged version and not sure if that is what i want. Can anybody using it say where they buy the bags from.

    • Check ebay, you can usually get them cheap there. I have a different Miele and got my bags off ebay with no problem and much cheaper.

  • i bought a s8320 cat and dog used off gumtree a few weeks ago and it only came with a turbo head (and not the standard head)
is this normal? also is it normal for the change bag indicator to come on whenever i've got the turbo head attached (even with a brand new bag)

    • Hi inasero, the S8320 did come with a turbo head but also a standard combination (brush up/brush down) head. Also, the bag change indicator should only turn red when the bag is full, independent of which head you are using.

In terms of the standard combination head, you can most likely purchase a replacement head from Miele. In terms of the bag change indicator, if you are looking to get this fixed, it is worth getting the vac serviced by Miele too.

Give Miele a call on 1300 464 353 and they should be able to help you out with both these issues :)

Alternatively, if you are looking for a new Cat&Dog model, we have the C3 Cat&Dog on sale for $488 with free shipping to metro Australia (exc. Tasmania).

Give us a call on 1300 783 469 for any enquiries about our Miele vac range and beyond!

  • I have a miele which ended up going in for warranty repair after 8 weeks for a faulty power head. Now 2 years later the unit has suddenly lost a large portion of suction. Won't be touching them again, for $480 I should have demanded my money back after the power head suffered a mechanical failure on the gears.

    • Had one for going on 4 years now and it has been well used cleaning two large properties. No problems at all and it has the turbo head too, a must have on such a powerful vacuum. Bought another one to leave at the other house, would not consider anything else as have had many vacuums that either died or were useless.
Curious… Is yours the German made version?
