I've had one of the Polaroid 300 instant cameras for a few years and they are always great fun at parties and events. Keep in mind the film for these cameras is very expensive. This model of camera takes shots which are double the size of the Polaroid 300. The camera is already marked at 20% off, but then can remove another 20% using the ebay CXMASTECH code to give the final price of $95.20 with free shipping.
If you bought an ok $400 digital camera, and printed photos at 50c per print, you would have to print 305 photos before you'd start saving money compared to this Fuji system @ $1.50 per photo.
$95.20 + (305 * $1.50) = $552.70
$400.00 + (305 * $0.50) = $552.50
Obviously I haven't factored in the pros/cons of a digital camera versus an Instax…. so I guess all I'm saying is "very expensive" is relative.
Except those aren't even close to substitute products.
I don't think anyone would use this as a genuine photography option. It is just a fun thing.
By 'very expensive' you mean '$1.50 a photo'.
