Mobile Usage and Internet in Europe

Hi,

I'm about to go on a trip around Europe (London/Rome etc) and I was wondering if it was possible to use mobile internet (3g/4g) while I'm on my trip. I know that you are able to get a SIM card but is there one that would work in multiple cities as I am staying in each for around 3 days and moving on and if so where would be a good place to get one.

PS. I use an iPhone 6 if that matters at all

Thank you very much :)

  • Vodafone operates in UK and Italy, you can buy a SIM there when you arrive or you if have Vodafone (Post-paid plan) already simply activate Global roaming for $5. http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/international-roaming

    • Unfortunately I'm on some sorta TPG plan and not vodafone…

      • . buy a sim over there.

        I used lyca mobile.

  • Few years back, bought the O2 prepaid sim in London, and it worked in Paris.

Recently, in a London O2 shop, bought the big bundle, 1Gb for 15 pounds offering. And was surprised when it worked in SEAsia on the way back. So I am inclined to think that it will also work in Europe. Just have to turn on the data roaming option.

    • Just to be safe, please confirm that it works in those cities you are going to, before buying it, and phone is not locked to any networks.
