That price is up online too: Up Fitness Band Medium

    • It should be nationwide then. Thanks have updated.

So the glorified step counter fad is now finally over?

    • +7

Yes in the same way that the outdated clearance tvs at Dick Smith symbolise the end of that television fad.

This model is twice, possibly thrice superseded. It has a bunch of reliability issues typical of a first gen product as well.

      • Not too mention that the current crop are inaccurate.

  • thanks, purchased one online.

  • Both links were follwed. Item unavailable. Please update to expired.

    • Still available in many stores

edit: says available for me :/

      • Cheers. Seems limited in WA stores. But i managed to find some! hope they fit!

        • unavailable for me.

Don't forget guys you have to plug it in to sync every time. Too much hassle even for this price. Better of with one of those $15 ones from xiomi I think

    • I'm inclined to agree, the Xiaomi mi-band is probably still better value at this price.

Grabbed the Jawbone UP24 last night at DickSmith for $50, seems very similar to this but with BT. New firmware doubled the battery life … bit dubious.

    • +1

so the UP24 comes with basically everything that should come with a fitness tracker? lol!

  • How accurate is this thing when it comes to counting steps/calories and what not?

    • Jawbone are not that accurate with step counting, Fitbit are better.

      • +1

Everything I've read indicates they're practically the same. Both kind of accurate but both far from perfect as far as steps counted go. Converting steps to calories involves a bit of hand waving…

  • How is that a deal if it says Up 20%?
