Glass jug too. I can't stress how much I can't take those god awful plastic blenders, especially the expensive one. BPA free or not, their opacity degrading with use means you are eating plastic, and a scratched plastic surface is great for being impossible to properly clean.

What does one of those stupidly popular nutri/magic bullet things do that something like this cant?
Cells walls get pulverised, unlocking all that hidden nutrition so your body can actually absorb it and use it. It turns food into super food! (note: sarcastic tone, if that was lost on you)

Nothing really. I use my nutri ninja over a blender because they are quick to use, small and very easy to clean. Great when you are just making one serving of smoothie for yourself in the morning.

I see a remarkable number of people claiming their 300 blender has broken down.

Sometimes the blades can break on these cheaper blenders and end up in your food/drink.

Great bargain checked the website and found one, was still $29 in store. Just had my first jug of mango smoothie which cost about a dollar in ingredients. Going to try making some home made salsa and choc paddle pops this weekend. The glass jug is a nice touch.
