meh, Xiaomi Note 3 has stolen the thunder for the $199 USD price point.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/222426

Looks a lot more attractive with it's massive battery size, metallic body and fingerprint reader.

    • +1

Shame MIUI 7/6 is dog shit. I say this as a huge fan of MIUI 5.

    • Is the battery really that great ? I remember seeing reviews that it was inferior to the Meizu M2 notes gives me >7 hours on screen time.

  • +1

    Sale not til the 10th?

    • -2

no, it starts on 10th dec

  • +2

Huh, I just ordered a OnePlus One this morning

    • +5

You will love it. I have had one for about 10 months. Such a great phone! Even at $440.00 they are a great deal! If this deal at $US199 is true, I will be buying a second one for a family member and flashing it to Cyanogenmod or OxygenOS.

      • I know I will since I already own a OPO ;)

      • Worth upgrade from galaxy note 3?

        • Very much so. Be aware that the phone is 5.5 inches. It can, at times, be a little on the large side. I would cut out some cardboard and stick than in your pocket or whatever to check it size. Other than that, it is a really awesome phone and I really like the customisation of Cyanogenmod, that is the highlight of the phone for me.

        • +1

@Blyyth: but note 3 is 5.7" i actually like bigger phone. i mean i have note 3 already, should i upgrade to this? hmm after googling, i dont think so. my note is bigger (for me, better), and has sd card support

        • +1

@eisniwre: Sure, the OnePlus One will be a touch smaller. 64GB is a crap load of memory. Eitherway, the phone is really good without the Samsung Bloatware.

        • @Blyyth: how about camera of One+1.

        • @Blyyth: yeah, with samsung, you really need to root and flash custom rom.

          otherwise,
with 3gb ram and 32gb rom and sd card, it is okey to have bloatwares inside. just hide them.
use other launcher. you wont see the difference is performances

    I'd love to buy a second one, but I can't tell if it's 16gb or 64gb :/

    • +1

The title on the webpage says "[JD collection]4G LTE Oneplus one 64G"

  • What bands is this likely to support?

      • +1

There seems to be a Chinese model that has different Bands though..

        • +1

From memory when I bought mine last year the bands that are in the international version are only beneficial for the US, the Chinese and International are identical from an Australian network point of view.

ALSO: OnePlus X for USD 210 with $40 off coupon! Many options at this price point: OnePlus X, OnePlus One or Redmi Note 3 !

    • +1

Where is the $40 off coupon mate?

    • I'm interested but would like to know which one has the best camera. Thank you in advance

      • They are all fairly average I would say. Decent but not great. I personally haven't used the Redmi but I have seen online videos, its decent when using MIUI. The cameras on all these phones will be worse than the flagship cameras - LG G4, iPhone 6S, Galaxy S6/Note 5.

        • Thanks Sylon!
At this price point would you say they are among the best?

  • +1

It's on the main website! http://en.jd.com/act/new_year.html

    JD558.

  • It's coming up as USD$299 on their site — have I missed the deal?

EDIT,I can even create an account — it's asking for the verification code I keep entering correctly…

    • +1

      Deal starts on 10th December

      • Thanks man, I missed that bit.

Anyone else having troubles creating an account?

        • +1

You will need to fill in all the details and enter the verification code sent to your phone as well as an invitation code if you dont have one you can use mine OCI30U

  • So when does this go on sale? It is still coming up as US$299 is there a code you need to enter?

    • 10am, in ~3.5 hours time.

      • Ahh I see 10am China time =) Thanks

        • +1

          Well I'm now at a loss…
It's 10am in China, price is still $299 and JD111 coupon doesn't apply

        • @scubacoles:
All the other flash products started already and the other sales. Oneplus x with coupon works now also.

        • @suudo:
So no coupon is required… Looks like this OnePlus deal was too good to be true after all.

        • @scubacoles: All of the other flash sales have different sellers, prob wait until the seller changes it?

        • @suudo:

I'm skeptical that it will be changed..

        • +1

@scubacoles: Ok looks like this deal was too good to be true, this is 25% off not the original 50% as advertised. RRP was $399 now showing at $299 this has been confirmed if you use the mobile site enm.jd.com and click the sale link from the banner or click here http://m.jd.ru/act/new_year.html?_ga=1.240243398.491941997.1…

          GRRRR……. removed my +1

        • @Cabrinha:
You can get it for $259 here
          http://en.jd.com/product/725463.html

$299 looks to be their standard price to me.

        • @scubacoles: Yeah I saw that using code JD558, I reckon you are better off going for One plus x at $209 though. Oh well a little annoyed by this

        • +1

          @Cabrinha:
Ah! Thanks for this. I got excited about getting the 1+1 for US$199.

        • +1

          @scubacoles:

  • +1

JD111 not working for me either.

  • +1

The Oneplus One price finally changed to $199 and then went out of stock immediately.
    Dodgy.

  • I just checked it again. It now shows up as US$199.99… but it's out of stock.

  • Yeah that sucks

  • how does this compare to the oppo R7?

    • -1

I just bought the oppo R7+ when i realised this was a dud.

I don't have experience with either brand yet, but oppo seems better to me, the only reason I was going to buy this one was because it was so cheap.

The specs on the R7+ are certainly better.

    • +1

Shits all over it… despite being older.
OnePlus is a division of Oppo
