Free Drink with Any Main Menu Item Purchase @ Grill'd

2670

By signing up we’ll shout you six alcoholic drinks throughout the silly season. So when you order a burger and a bevvie, all you’ll have to pay for is the burger. How good is that?

Once you’ve signed up and verified you are 18+ we’ll send you an SMS with your first two offers (shouts!) to enjoy straight away – you’ll then receive another each week to enjoy with your burger. Note that QLD is non alcoholic beverage only.

Terms:

Each e-voucher will entitle you to a free standard single serve alcoholic drink (defined as any alcoholic drink up to 425ml in volume) or non-alcoholic drink of your choice when you purchase a full-priced main item from our menu (being a burger, steak sandwich, slider combo or salad, but excluding ‘Mini Me Packs’).

Some strange terms with the free drink in QLD but it looks like it's not restricted to non-alcoholic drinks, so I've amended this post.

"Queensland residents do not receive a free drink, rather through buying a burger and beverage you will only be charged for the burger."
Sounds like they're just covering their ass legally somehow, but giving exactly the same thing.

    • +4

According to the T&C it states for QLD: – Queensland residents do not receive a free drink, rather through buying a burger and beverage you will only be charged for the burger. So to me that beens if you buy a burger with a beer, you only get charged for the burger….

      • Because of schoolies

      • +1

suspect it may be due to QLD's anti-binge-drinking laws

        • That makes no sense.

    • I went there for lunch today and missed this. Right after I missed the Kogan voucher deal yesterday.

So which alcoholic drink has the largest bottle?

    • +2

I think it is up to 425ml, just did the training :P

(defined as any alcoholic drink up to 425ml in volume)

      durrr just read OP

    • +6

You mean the largest volume of alcohol

    • +6

Why not try Export Jürgenbrau? It's the most alcohol per millilitre at the lowest cost in the store. Just crack it open and drink it right there on the step.

      • Satisfied that you felt you needed to point out the obvious that Australians have alcohol problems?

Where do you get that Qld only has non-alcoholic drinks?

Probably has to do with our restrictive licensing laws and not being allowed to give "free drinks".

        • And once again… imagine a Nation with uniform rules and laws. Stupid 'independent' states

        • +1

          restrictive licensing laws

But… i think you guys still allow online RSA training?

        • @Martijn:
Yep, we sure do… Go Figure, lol….

        • @danyool: If we had a nation with uniform rules and laws, all that would mean is that we would have a nation with NSW rules and laws. No thank you.

      • That doesn't answer the question. As far as I can tell it's alcoholic drinks nationwide.

        • I know… Hence why i said: So to me that means if you buy a burger & a BEER, you only get charged for the burger …. Free Beer :)

        • Ahh yes sorry I didn't see that.

  • +1

Anyone else find the form doesn't work? Also these restaurants are excluded Woden (ACT) and Brookfield place (WA)

  • Change the title, It doesn't say at all that you don't get an alcoholic beverage with a burger purchase.

    • Sorry, in my excitement… I missed that… hopefully it looks better now?

      • +1

I think Mike means that Qld does get alcoholic beverages, but your title says we don't.

      • +4

No it's still not right. You get alcoholic beverage nationwide.

  • Mine just went through now. Got my first two vouchers via sms. Thanks OP!

    • I just got through too… no text yet.

      Edit: Text received.

  • Nothing yet for me :(

    EDIT: Finally have my txt….

  • Got this in my email.I am in Carlton, Victoria so deal isn't restricted to QLD. Got the 2 SMS instantly. :)

    • I think QLD has restrictions that the other states don't have.

Looks like an intern wrote the spaghetti code for the form o_O

  • Nice! I am headed to grill'd tonight as well, awesome timing

  • Can you get the 6 drinks in one sitting?

    • Two almost immediately, but the others you have to wait, one a week.

      • +1

Still better than nothing, not sure why other venues don't do this, alcohol doesn't cost that much to a venue

  • I am in QLD, just registerd and got the first two vouchers, Both say "Burger+Beer 4 the price of the burger!" ???? I am confused.

  • i inkth the website gepts haemmhred because ei encountered errors whwen i tdyep in my dzetails! Hics…!

  • Despite a processing error when I hit submit, I got one of the two e-vouchers sent to me.

EDIT: second voucher eventually came through.

  • Other than beers, are there other types of alchoholic drinks, such as wine or cocktails?
    Thanks in advance.

    • +1

I'm not aware of any Grill'd stores having a bar, but I'm pretty sure they have the standard type of bottled drinks, likely cider as well.

      • The ones up here on the Sunny Coast do…

      • Wintergarden in Brisbane does.

  • filled out th eform but had the error and didnt get any texts yet so it might be hit and miss

also can u use the two things in one go ? ie, can i go with a friend and we both use the free beer thing in one sitting? anyone know?

    • Keep trying, you get the txts pretty much instantly if it's successful.

Pro Tip: Use Chrome and enter your details in the Auto-Fill Settings. Copy your DOB onto your clipboard so everytime it errors, you only need to refresh the page and all the fields should be filled

Only thing left is paste in your DOB, select gender, tick the 2 boxes to agree to the conditions and possibly verify you're not a robot (this didn't show up for me after a few refreshes)

I just kept mashing F5 on the error message.

Most web browsers will continue to submit your information as they warn you about it when you do.

  • forgive my ignorance but how do i claim it?

do i show them the page on my phone? am i meant to print it out? can i use 2 vouchers for one sitting?

    • I think you get a barcode on the links on your phone, they scan it when you redeem it. I assume you can get two drinks in the first sitting, as long as you order two mains?

      • a barcode can be scanned from a phone?

sorry if that's a n00b quesiton, i legitimately do not know if that is possible?

        • +2

yeah, I've done that with my toys r'us membership on an app called stocard.

        • @bluedufflecoat: cool, thanks

        • Sure, a lot of barcode readers these days are cameras so can handle light emitting devices, rather than requiring printed barcodes as laser scanners would. Camera is also needed to handle qrcodes.
