I used to be a cookies and cream man, but since salted caramel landed, I haven't looked back.

    • Salted caramel is liek soo played out.

  • HEADING NOW TO COLES!

Don't do what I do and ensure you have enough freezer space!

      • +1

        Oh no! Too late. :)

        Quick, destroy the evidence!

        *Om nom nom…*

      • So you just mash it all up into a paste? :)

  • +3

    These are not salty enough

  • +12

Didn't like them , the silver coating is very odd and artificial looking

    • +5

Agreed, but for $3 I'll learn to like them.

    • Agreed,

    • yeah cant stand that silver stuff, had some a while back when it was on sale and never again…

      • yeah cant stand that silver stuff,

Any idea what it's made from?

        • some sort of plastic? its horrid

  • Yummy

  • Have bought a couple boxes since they dropped to $3 a couple weeks back. They kinda grow on you.

      They kinda grow on you.

I imagine they would. Mostly around the abdominal and maybe upper thigh and arm area.

      • +3

Mostly, but not limited to ;)

      • Mostly around the abdominal and maybe upper thigh and arm area.

Not as part of an energy balanced diet and exercise regime. :)

        • Tried this and it's near impossible at 350 calories a ice-cream. That is of course based whether you can stop at one. I can't so I never restock any more.

        • @aerona:

          Have you tried exercising more?

I think Balancing these bad boys with exercise is a pretty futile endeavour for most people. Better to chalk it up to a loss (or 'treat') every once in a while than spending effort trying to balance them.

  • Yum, thanks :)

  • Thanks OP - grabbed the last two from Plenty Valley

  • Not a fan. $3 is probably the right price

  • +1

Are these any good? I really like the strawberry white choc ones

    • Not really. The White choc strawberry ones are heaps better. These have no real flavour to them.

  • THey dont taste like salted caramel its more like some coffee flavor, its really weird. Its abit like the taste engineer guys made there own flavor and called it salted caramel, not a fan.

  • Bought 2 boxes.

  • none left at Balaclava, VIC, if anyone wants to know. And the others were back up to full price now?? hadda go to Safeway for $6 ones

  • Sold out Oakleigh/Vic

  • Not on sale at prahran, none of the magnums are

    • yeah sorry they are $6 at woolies

  • +1

tried this flavour because it sounded great, taste let me down, think of it as a crunchy vanilla flavour

  • +4

Seriously, can we just get over this bloody 'salted caramel' craze and move on ??

    • +2

here here, then maybe they can have some good flavours on sale

    • Bloody hipsters are to blame for these silly flavours.

      • You can always go back to the 80's where there were about 2 or 3 flavors of everything. or 3 types of beer and no craft beer! Whats for dinner darl? Rissoles. Whats for sweets? Neapolitan honey. Oooer fancy!

    • +6

Could be worse… They could describe their hipster flavour by using a place. Murray river salted caramel, Himalayan salted chocolate, Montana mountain mint??? Or even better - Hunter Valley roast chicken… I mean am i really supposed to be able to taste that the chicken lived in the hunter valley when I'm eating a packet of chips?

      • +3

I thought you were suggesting Hunter Valley roast chicken magnums for a second there

Seriously, can we just get over this bloody 'salted caramel' craze and move on ??

I'm still waiting for salted caramel pulled pork…

      • Single origin free range Hunter valley chicken 100% Australian

  • Actually,Coles started clearing them out 2 weeks ago, with another Gold flavour which sold faster.

  • +2

They taste pretty awful and they're not 468 mL either (the full-size Magnums are). These are only 400 mL (you can see it on the illustration of the pack).

  • +1

As an FYI, at my local they weren't advertised on sale at all but scanned at $3.

  • I tried these when they were new in the market last year and they sucked;/ tasted like watery milk with traces of chocolate and sugar.

  • +1

At $0.75 per serve, the flavour kind of grows on you by the fourth or fifth box. As for the silver coating, well it is Christmas. I think they're seconds (or maybe even refurbs, OzBers like that!!), in our last box the sticks were encased fully in the ice cream. Weird. And have you noticed they're made in Hungary? Even more weird .. :-( .. !!

    • After the fifth box ? So, I have to eat 20 of these to start enjoying it ?

      • Its a gradual process … :-) .. !!

  • Thanks for the piccy. All the (dark coloured) magnums at tooronga are $6. Then I spotted the solitary grey/white boxes a couple of metes away. On the bottom shelf. Unpriced. Heh-heh-heh….
