Also, Bowmore 12yo is being offered at $64 and Talisker 10yo for $66, which are decent prices historically.

Of course Dan has already price matched with their "Delivery Only" prices but if you don't need to order enough for free shipping you can pick them up at your local ALDI for the same price.

Note that all 3 whiskies mentioned here are Islays which are smokey. I know a lot of you are looking for xmas presents for your whisky loving friends/family; might want to check with them if they are into the Islays before jumping on one of these. However, if the person is an experienced whisky drinker, they won't complain about any of them.

    I've not tried any of these. How do they compare in peatiness with the Lagavulin 16yr? Any advice would be appreciated. I loved the Lagavulin. Which should I go for?

      Lagavulin is one of the mildest Islays around so these would be a step up. I'd suggest reading some reviews and seeing what other flavours they offer and go with that. I'm not really a fan of the peat/smoke but out of the 3 would go the Bowmore.

      Laphroaig 10 year. First sip tastes like liquid charcoal. By the end of the bottle, other whiskers taste like piss.

    Op, can we pick these up from local aldi? At my local aldis we have to ask staff to get hard liquor from the storeroom.
