Most people reading this would already know how to type.

    • Hehehehe:)

      Good point!

      Well…
      Type? Yes.

Spell? …. Errr… not so much!

I'll have to get them to do the spelling one next :D

I disagree. Most people can sort-of type. Not many have the proper technique to type fast & accurately.

Having said that, there are many free typing programs. What makes this one better?

      • And also alot of people employ the two-finger poke typing technique :)

      • See reply to CandyMan below.

      Hi CandyMan,

This was discussed a little last time (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/99537)

But for the most part - the 'free' online ones are ad-supported or crippled in one way or another. For $15 per year, you can remove the ads. However, they also often lack information on correct posture and ergonomics. Also… have you read the text they use? It's kinda like reading a dictionary:( The text for the lessons in Typing Tournament are fun and interesting. (Except for the lesson on asdf - that's just plain boring!)

      Cheers!

      • There's a few free chrome apps that don't display ads with ad block plus, lite on the system, analyses your speed, weak points, has tests, gives certificates etc… However, I can't comment on your product because I haven't used it. I am tempted to try it because my touch typing still needs improving.

  • Is this deal still available? The link is currently broken…

    • Yes, it is still available. The link above seems to be working for e now and you'll find the Typing Tournament is the 5th on in the list. The offer has changed, but the price is still the same. The link is http://www.edalive.com/club .
