Best website for last minute flights domestically?

Sup fam,
Need to know where to look in regards to last minute bookings.
I need to fly to Melbourne on Christmas Eve and was wondering what the best way to pick up a ticket would be.
Thanks

Mix in: Kayak, Skyscanner, and Adioso, and you're about done.

For domestic flights your choices are limited, considering we have a duopoly flying between major cities (i.e. Virgin (which owns Tiger Australia) and Qantas (which owns Jetstar)).

If I was a betting man, I'd say you won't get cheaper than TigerAir (for a flight time you'd prefer) if you book with a Mastercard Debit card (to avoid booking fees) though their new mobile app (20% off until midday aedt 24/12/2015).

    • I wonder if you could get Jetstar to price beat by 10% after using the 20% off code for tiger!

  • Thanks guys will check them out :)

The train is $63 with luggage and no airport transfer.

If you're flying check if you can use the Jetstar price beat guarantee. Apparently they will even beat the Tigerair app prices.

Even at $63, all flights would have to be grounded, fully booked out, or the prices way OTT before I'd consider it, and I usually like train travel.

I've just had a quick look, and there are plenty of flights available between Sydney and Melbourne on 24/12 which won't break the bank. Heck, there are even reward seats available if you've got the points.
