PS4 Online Help with purchase of time online

Hi purchased my son a ps4 that he wants to play online is the only way to pay for it is via the console and by credit card ?
If so is there a way to turn of auto renewal so the card doesn't get charged again

    You can buy 3month/ 6 month/ yearly PSN vouchers from EB/JB etc and no credit card is needed!(Yearly is the best value) That's what I did given I don't have a credit card.

    That way you can just give him the voucher.

    you can buy PSN cards and just enter the number, like prepaid. I have a credit card linked but I just paid for PSplus with vouchers cos they were about 20% off at 7-11 stores a few weeks back.

      Look out for sales. As PVA said, they were 20% off at 7/11
