didnt uber give everyone $25 off the price at a music festival then surged it in the area so people got stung and ended up paying more?
So they got $25 off the surge price or could have waited for demand to come down before using the voucher. Cry more.
I always laugh when people mention this.
You get HUGE warnings when you are about to book an uber with price surging. It will tell you how much it will cost, it will even tell you what the current surge multiplier is.
The surge system is automated by a robot.
The surge system is necessary, without it there is no incentive for new drivers to decide to start driving because all the current drivers are busy at the current minute.

That makes no sense at all. If all the current drivers are busy, that gives other drivers MORE incentive to work because there'll be more work available.
Only ever new users isnt it.
Where's the value in being a regular customer when these deals seem to only be aimed at new users?

New users only. Don't add it if you are an existing user - I can't delete PayPal as an option now. It comes up with failure each time I try and disassociate the PayPal from uber. Stay away from this promo!!
to disassociate, you need to put another payment option. Register a credit card and probably you will be able to disassociate.
Done that. Still won't delete. And it makes Paypal the default payment option now.
Delete the agreement on PayPal it's self
PayPal website has an option to delete all the sites and apps associated with it.
How can uber afford to give away these gifts when they don't make a profit in Australia?
And that's how they get their market share and make money in the long run. Run it at a loss, force other providers out or take some of their business away from them then get rid of the freebies once people are used to using Uber and cash in.
Is it even possible to keep registering new account for uber? they seem to tie to your paypal and phone number? New sim for each account I guess?
Think you need a new phone as well. Even with a new credit card and new phone number it's still not allowing promo codes to be used on the same phone.
Probably need new IMEI or Apple ID/Google account?
Yeah u need a new sim but using same PayPal should be fine, only detects phone number but not credit card and PayPal.
