Canon EF 50mm F1.8 STM Lens $139.95 At Ted's Camera House In-Store (After $10 Sign Up Voucher)

160

Update: Just realized the $10 only works in-store. Apologies. Ted's should match their online price in-store though.

I've been trying to find a cheap price for the revised, STM version of the 'plastic fantastic' or 'nifty fifty' as it's called but nothing has come close this mark since I've been checking. This is part of their Boxing Day sale which started early online.

$140 is pretty good for this since the cheapest previously has been $131 on here via Kogan on eBay. Kogan are selling them for $149 at the moment plus shipping (no local pickup option). Cheapest online is $129 plus shipping. But $140 for local store and local stock is pretty good for this fantastic lens.

You need to sign up to get the $10 voucher for this.

The Canon EF-S 24mm F2.8 STM is $179.95 after the $10 too which is not bad. No discount on the 40mm.

  • My pick would be eos m3 kit with canon cashback around $400 until modnight.

    • Dont you have to spend over $200 on another item to double the cash back?

      • ok, got it

  • Any deals on Nikon prime lens?

  • How much better is this than the mark 2? I have one but it's focus has gone way, way off

    • All reviews I read/saw say it's better overall. Optics are about the same (STM version is a bit sharper) but auto focus is better, way more quiet and due to 7 rounded blades bokeh is much nicer. It also doesn't feel as cheap as the II which was notorious for feeling really cheap.

      • Cheers bud

  • Got the lens from Ted's Sydney CBD store today with the $10 sign up voucher plus the ING 2% paywave rebate :)
    Happy customer!
