  • External HD everywhere!!!

  • All the cheap drives are soldered :(

    • +13

      There is no soldering required, you just use the supplied usb cable.

      • I mean they're soldered to the fast port and the drive cannot be removed/reused.

          I actually lol at 28Degrees' comment…

        • Do you really need to pull an external hard drive apart?

          @gomazz:

          Its a very cheap way to upgrade your ps3/4. My ps4 is 2tb for example.

          @gomazz:
          a few people want to use them in PS4 or to replace a laptop drive rather than just using them as is. It wont be possible with this drive.

          soldered drive also means if u break that usb port then your drive is basically dead. (if it was a mini usb port chance of breaking port isnt high but micro usb? its possible to break)

  • plus delivery

    • Delivery's only $5

      • +1

        says $7.34 for me, regardless it should say plus delivery in the title.

        • -1

          Why should it say delivery when they have dozens of stores you can pick one up from?

        • +2

          @sheikyerbouti: Not in WA.

        • +2

          @sheikyerbouti: Fair call, being from WA i had no idea they had bricks and mortar stores coz I've never seen one. Apologies.

        • +1

          Looking at their store map, they only have stores in NSW/ACT. So that means that literally every other state in the country can't get it without delivery, hence probably should still have "plus delivery" in the title.

        • +1

          Just about never done in past Bing Lee deals.

        • +1

          @sheikyerbouti: NOT IN VIC (except in wadonga)

        • @sheikyerbouti: Dozens? Omg, that's like a whole 2 stores per state on average, only 500km to travel!

  • How do we know if these are soldered or not?

    • Seagate hdds are the only safe choice if you are looking to pull the thing apart.

    • from a search the samsung m2 and m3 drives are soldered.

    I like Bing Lee!

    • There was some at Rhodes shopping ctr an hour ago

  • soldered?can't be apart as a laptop driver?
    Give up!

    1tb not enough storage space for my pawn collection LOL

  • Out of stock :(

  • For those that pull them apart, just curious, why would you buy an external and pull apart as apposed to buying an internal?

  • sold out :(

  • They're sold out, but Target have a Verbatim 1TB USB 3.0 for $59, and no shipping fees for those outside of Sydney, unlike this deal.
