Replacement for Whirlpool Broadband Choice (NBN Specifically)

So my parents recently got a letter from NBN saying it's available in our area and to find a provider.

Straight away off to whirpool's broadband choice page only to discover they have stopped offering it. :(

So I'm looking for suggestions for providers (they don't use much data and would prefer a bundle with included national calls)

I'm also looking for any potential replacements for whirlpool's broadband choice or possibly ozbargain could step up (at least for NBN plans)

Thanks in advanced for any assistance.

  • Whistleout has NBN plan comparison, not sure how comprehensive it is though

I just signed up with AusBBS (internet only ) and they've been pretty good so far https://ausbbs.com.au/residential/nbn-fibre/bundles/

I find whistleout just compares a few specs and doesn't give you any detailed info, such as the comments you would get on Whirlpool Choice.
There are providers who price match for example.

  • Whistleout is pretty comprehensive but I find it only includes the main players.

I just signed up with MATE Communicate (NBN-only) - so far so good, support is based locally and speeds have been very good https://www.letsbemates.com.au/mates-rates/#nbn

    • Thanks. Their rates are pretty impressive. Just wondering if 12Mbps plan will give me enough speed. I am quite happy with my current ADSL2+ speed - I am with TPG. I don't mind TPG NBN but if I get a contract-free option and $10 cheaper price (even for the first 6 months), I won't mind.

      Btw, Whistleoout includes Letsbemates.com.au too.

  • Everybody will just tell you to go with Aussie broadband, Aussie broadband etc. I don't really like to go with the rest of the sheep so went with Buzz Telco. They are hated mostly for a huge outage they had a while ago, but have been ace to me and super fast with great prices. I get constant 92Mbps :)

PS: If you wanted bundled calls, look at Exeltel. $49 a month for 100gb 12/1 with unlimited calls to national, mobile etc.
