An FYI for people after a nice headset due to the sale/s, a LOT of "gaming" headsets is basically a cheapy/average consumer headset reskinned with a mic strapped to it. If you are after form, no harm done go nuts. If you are after top quality audio function out of these, your best bet is a nice set of mid range to top end headphones with a budget clip on mic.

Not saying this is a shite product or anything, never used them and don't know anyone with them. Just throwing some general knowledge out there for the good folks. For all I know the audio drivers in this thing are the best there were.

Don't get me wrong, this is good general advice - but seriously, pay attention to the actual item in the deal. It's a wireless headset, which means the headphone alternatives can be counted on one hand.

If you want wireless audio, you pretty much have to go with a headset.

Best wireless gaming headset I have ever used. Been using it for 2 years now and have never gave a thought on needing to buy a different pair. I think the best implementations are the swappable batteries and the audio transmitter. Has a really good range, surround sound, and connects nicely to other devices such as ps4.

right now I have the audio transmitter connected to an optical cable switch, which is also connected to my pc, ps3, and ps4. The good thing about the audio transmitter is that it has an optical out. I connected this to a small amp, which is connected to my desktop speakers. With this set up I can select my input through the optical switch. If I want to use my speakers I just turn on the dac that is connected to the steelseries transmitter. very convenient.

Surely these aren't the cheapest. I just bought mine this afternoon for $296 before Cashrewards cashback

  • I swear when I last looked at these Steelseries Wireless H last year they were about $299? I settled on the Turtlebeech Stealth 400 which are very nice (and relatively cheap)

    • You wouldn't be wrong. A lot of PC speakers in the $300 range a year ago are now in the $400 range. Headsets probably underwent a similar hike.

  • Best wireless headset for gaming i have used so far, just one complaint though, the OLED display can get some screen burning. I always had it on PC setting for about a year, so the logo PC was burned onto the display and one day when when changed to console setting, realized there is still the PC logo ghosting in the background. kinda annoy for $300 price.
