That's $80 a year, how much is PSN+ in Australia now? OUCH that's expensive.
I'm still using it on my US account.

    • 1 year subscription is still $69,95

God, $20 for 3 months, hardly seems a bargain :/

  • I remember they were originally $19,95 early in the year.they increase the 3 months subscription to $27,95 sometime this year.

How can they charge $5.95 for postage of a gift card.

This whole thing is a sham. My middle son comes to me yesterday and says can i use $70 of my money for PSN, i said its your money. A couple of hours later i was thinking and said to him, you only just paid $70 a few months ago, he said yeah that was for PSN+, I said whats this $70 for now. he said its for an online game play for medal of honour or something. So not only do you need to pay $70 a year for PSN, Then you have all these map packs and add ons to games at $10 a pop, now the games themselves are requiring some type of memebrship to play online. The console will shortly be the minor purchase, its all the ongoings which will cost a fortune.

There isn't an ongoing membership fee to play individual games online, that is included in the PSN+ that he paid, and it does come with free games every month.

But I agree with your sentiment, the map packs and expansions that are required are becoming a bit much! :(

    • so he used an extra $70 for the games or game extras, thats not sony, thats the game maker. Its like and android game and you pay for the extras like weapons/lives, thats not Googles doing but the game maker.

PSN+ is for extra games each month, online back ups, offline updates, access to Beta games etc.

Cheaper alternative if you're not looking to pay for a full year. Pretty sure JB also has them at $20 in store, saw them in store.

  • Anyone purchased PS+ from Bisbury.com? Their prices are really cheap

  • SW Battlefront requires ps+ for online multiplayer.

    • All games require PS+ for online multiplayer on PS4.
You can still play multiplayer online with PS3 without PS+ though.

      • Thanks for that. Only have PS3 and hence no Battlefront and wasn't aware.
