CityLink Melbourne Question (Whinge)

Just received an email from CityLink about our prepay account being overdrawn and now suspended, and that we need to make a payment. The problem is we already have 'automatic payment' set up to the account!

Checked our CityLink account details online, the credit card details were there, credit card expires in 10/2016 (10 months from now), but CityLink labeled it as 'Expires soon' 'Update card details'! So my question is…how does the CityLink's 'automatic payment' work? Also, how (and why) do you update credit card details when the card is still valid for another 10 months???

And here's the whinge…called Customer 'Service', before I've spoken a word, a very rude woman told me to give her my contact details (despite I've already keyed in my account number & password) and said 'someone' would call me back…how helpful!

  • Give them a call on Monday, I wouldn't expect much on a Sunday, they'd be understaffed, plenty of people calling because they have time off work…etc. Not the ideal time to call.

  • My whinge is that that classify my triton as a commercial vehicle when a 200 series cruiser or falcon Ute isn't.

    • Falcon ute's cannot carry the same as a triton… Although you will be happy to hear that falcon ute's are now classed as commercial

  • Their call centre is offshore so wouldn't expect much customer service
