        It was a letdown but the existence of seasons 1-3 make up for all that, such a classic show. I want to eventually buy a Community box set too when I see one

          Tough crowd. I found Season 4 consummately watchable even if it did lose its way a bit in the middle - it got really good in the last couple episodes. Granted Seasons 1-3 set impossibly high expectations, but I was happy for any reprisal of the funniest show ever made…

          Yeah the last couple of episodes were much better. I think the early ones would've been fine if they'd cut a decent portion of the storylines. Felt like I was watching a very early director's cut.

          Yep, agreed. I think it was largely a limitation of the novel format with each episode essentially occurring concurrently - much of it was only going to come together once you'd viewed the majority of the episodes.

          Still, any excuse for Bob Loblaw and Tony Wonder to reunite with the Bluths was going to meet with my approval…

          I thought 5 & 6 of Community were pretty good. It lost the unique edge of seasons 1-3 but still had enough good moments to keep it worth watching.

      I wish that were true, but… your source is now 7 months old.
      Since then nothing's been confirmed, and Jason Bateman recently said he wasn't sure a new season would ever happen. Then they said the screenplay was being written.
      Here's the latest from 14th December:

      Last we heard — from co-executive producer Brian Grazer — they were aiming to start in early 2016 with new episodes premiering a few months after that. But he said that back in June and we're ready for an update. Cue Ron Howard, who is now promoting his new movie "In the Heart of the Sea," but took some time to answer Qs about the return of the Bluth family.
      "Well, Mitch Hurwitz, the creator of the show, is working with writers now," Howard told Good Morning America (via Deadline), "Netflix is behind it, 20th Century Fox is behind it." However, the same issue that affected Season 4 is still a factor in Season 5 — the actors all have other commitments, and getting them together for "Arrested" is like herding cats.
