If you are dead set on a Samsung air conditioner, they have had it cheap with all the ebay sales. The 15% ebay sale brought it down to a similar price (~$1300).
Shame on Energex, they'll give you $100-400 for peak smart air cond's.
But go solar and they'll charge you $300.91 inc GST to have your energy meter changed. Or $90 ish to reprogram an existing EM1000, then charge you a daily solar charge of 7.4 cents.
