    FYI.
I claimed about 2 weeks ago, at the end it says it may take up to 30 days to receive a gift card

  • Can we switch to Suncorp now, then switch back to the previous CTP insurer before the next registration renewal (in my case, October 2016)?

    • The card will issued about a week after your rego is paid then you can change it.

  • Oh no, i just paid my rego and CTP (different provider)this morning

You can still switch it. Just did the same thing and it works no problem. I think I may have done this offer 1+ years ago, didn't expect it to work, but it seemed to work perfectly.

      • Can I? Just filled in the info. on line, will see what happens.

        Thanks mapleice!

  • How about new regos? Do I get the $50 if I opt for Suncorp? Or do I need to choose another, then change before Mar 31?

And 2nd car has Suncorp already, can I change it, then change back? Reg is due mid March.

    • If you already have Suncorp switch to QBE for $25-$50 (depending on your age, etc.) and then switch back to Suncorp next year.

  • Nice find OP!

  • Has any one received an email from SunCorp once you filled in the switch information on the website? Ta

    • I haven't (been 2 days now), then again my registration isn't due to be renewed for another 3 weeks or so.

      • I am on the same boat, my rego is not due until end of Jan. I thought at least they would send us an email to say that they have received our request to switch to their CTP, blah, blah.. Just have to wait and see. Thanks,

  • Is Suncorp the cheapest CTP insurance atm? My current provider is AAMI and thiking to do the switch. Thanks.

in QLD all CTP insurance providers have the same premium (by law). All they can do is give freebies like this deal to bring in customers.

      • Ok thanks, I didn't know that and I thought we can just go around and shop for the cheapest provider.

  • Thanks OP, did this tonight as just got my renewal papers.

  • Has anyone received their EFTPOS card? How long would it take to receive the card? I received an email from TMR yesterday confirming my CTP has been switched to Suncorp, however, never received any form of communication from Suncorp regarding the switch. If we want to check the status, what's their contact information.

    Thanks,

I received mine within 2 weeks after the rego renew date. Suncorp first sent the eftpos card by itself (in abt 3 days after the renewal date), and then another letter about the CTP details (took about 2 weeks for that)

      • Thanks, my rego renew date was 31/01/16. i might just have to wait a bit longer I guess.

I received mine yesterday. Rego renewal date is 27/02/16 but I received the letter from TMR last week.

  • Just an update, I received the EFTPOS card in the mail today!

  • I just got a new rego a couple of weeks ago on a car I bought in SA, elected RACQ and then filled in the Suncorp form after, got my eftpos card in the mail today, woo!
