600g Toblerone Bullion $2, 410g Lindt Snowflake Tin $1 at Woolworths Collingwood Park QLD (Nationwide?)

70

Just noticed these at my local Woolworths. Lots of Toblerone in stock, only a few Lindt. Unsure if they will be the same price everywhere as they were at the xmas/NY clearance section but they are pretty common items so you may get lucky.

I think this is just Christmas left over, should not be national wide but lots of store are doing it last week.

  • My local store cleared out the day after boxing day… lol. People are fast.. Someone picked up the lindt snowflake tin for $10 rather than $20. I can't imagine it will still be available for $1. Do people in your area not like Lindt?

I also saw the workers at my local store removing the christmas cardboard wrapper and selling the christmas Toblerone for full price as it has the same barcode. They just need to remove the cover. I think this is only for the 200g one, unless someone can confirm the same applies to the 600g one.

The Lindt tin said $30 original price so definitely considered that lucky. They probably could unpack the Toblerone as the bullion bar is just 3 regular 200g bars in a bigger box.

      • Yeah, that one is $30 RRP, but was almost always at $20 at my local store.

It's a bit like the Cadbury Favourites Tin (One that looks like a reindeer). This one has always been $15 at my local store and BigW. They still have a whole shelf full of these and no one is budging. I'm guessing soon it will be $10 or $7.50.

  • Toblerone sword fights here I come!

Seriously though, I think LoveBargain15 summed it up accurately.

Melt the toblerone into a saucepan of milk - makes the best chockie milk.

I'd never thought of melting toblerone down before. For Christmas my wife did that, bought some tiny marsh mellows and make rocky road. Tasted better than the real thing!

Dunno if I'd go so far as the chockie milk idea but that's cool too ;)

  • Good luck finding any stock. I got the lindt for $7.50 and went back for more next day, all gone.

How many people knew there was a bear in the logo?

    • Thanks mate I am a avid Toblerone eater for long long time never knew about the bear. All I knew was a mountain until read your comment.
