I've been looking to replace mine which have been awesome. Price Hipster showed me that Dick Smith have them on special. I've not seen them this cheap before.

True. I've heard of suppliers mugging customers in stores. It's dangerous, please be safe guys!!

    Would only buy this if:

    -I go into the store
-Store verifies that theres stock, and they're willing fulfill C&C instantly
-Order online in the store and get item

You don't want to have your money in DS's hands in the next few days - may be trouble.

      Or pay with PayPal?

Make sure you're holding the product in your hand as you swipe your credit card.

If they were taking money knowing they couldn't fulfil the order it would be criminal fraud. Someone would get locked up for that.

    •

I just don't want the hassle of chasing DS up to get it delivered/refunded after seeing the recent gift card fiasco.

      •

I'm comfortable. I think this post sums up the situation

  •

hmm maybe we can price match at officeworks?

    •

Got one, decent sound quality, plenty at DS Bourke St.

A company under administration has to guarantee all sales can either be fulfilled or full refunds given (during that period).

The administration company has to 'underwrite' that - which is likely why they all seem to totally devour any cash still left in a company - admin fees! :)

Risking a CC order with paypal hopefully it doesn't bite me on the bum

      Update: It's ready for collection.

Is it easy/possible to convert the Mm30i controller to function on Android equipment?

    •

I bought a pair yesterday arvo - the play/pause button works with Android but not the volume buttons. Is there a way to get them working?

      •

No. Apple, being Apple, decided to wire their headsets differently than the industry standard, that all other manufacturers use.

Shit is about to get a lot worse with Apple's rumored Lightning port headphones.

        •

should be able to use something like this I think

          or even this for cheaper

        •

          @CVonC:
I bought these not realising the limitation with Android. Very dissappointed that the microphone doesn't work either (not phased by the buttons to be honest). Any idea if this adapter will help with the mic?

3 left at Chatswood Chase NSW if anyone is looking. None left at George Street NSW. Gave me free 1 year Dick Smith warranty on top of the standard Sennheiser 2 years though earphones will probably last longer than DS…

  •

Around a dozen in Brookside Shopping Centre, Brisbane.

I also already have a set, 2nd in 5 years. Awesome set of headphones at this price.

  •

Plenty left at Bourke St, right by front counter. Sound great for $30!
