[FREE] Mythical Pokemon Hoopa Fr Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire Code @ EB Games/JB Hi-Fi

600

Players can get the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa for Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire from January 18 through January 29 via a special code distribution at select retailers* in Australia and New Zealand.

Hoopa is a Mythical Pokémon that cannot be encountered through regular gameplay, and is recognizable by its two horns and the golden ring that adorns its trunk. Hoopa’s rings are said to have the power to bend dimensions and move objects across great distances.

Players will need a copy of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire as well as a system in the Nintendo 3DS family**, and the Hoopa they receive will be in its Confined form. When Hoopa is in Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, it can transform into the powerful Hoopa Unbound!

This Hoopa comes with an awesome selection of moves, including the powerful Hyperspace Hole move, a Psychic-type attack that only Hoopa can learn! For more information, you can visit the official website!

This is the first opportunity to get the newly discovered Mythical Pokémon, so don’t miss out! Visit one of the select retailers from January 18 to get the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa while you can!

I have had hoopa for like a year thanks to powersaves.

  • Will you get the code on a card like the Shiny Mega Rayquaza

    • Probably will be. I'll try to get 2 so that I have have one normal hoopa and one evolved hoopa in oras

      • Think it's one per game

        • It's 1 per save file so you can redeem a code, trade it to a different game, start a new game, redeem another code. Rinse and repeat until you're happy with how many Hoopas you have. I always aim for 6 of each event Pokemon since the natures are randomized, luck of the draw!

        • @Lafrin:
where does it say that on the website says 1 per person? or do you mean using the same code when starting a new file?

        • What makes you think I have only one Pokemon game?

        • +1

          @Lafrin: #Broden2016

  • Does this pokemon exist?

    • +1

Sounds like a brand new one

    • +1

they released it last year in selected regions

You can actually get this free, make it shiney and as many as you want via free pokegen or pokehex and a pc.

  • Just got one from big w at macquarie park. Guess there is some early distribution s.

    • How do you get it? do you need 3ds and pokemon for eg x, along?

  • How does it work.
Do you get the code on paper, then take it home to activate it, or do you need to do it in store?

    • +2

      It's a code.

      • +1

        Thanks.
So, you don't need to be in store to activate it. Anywhere is fine?

  • Gotta catch 'em all…

  • Anyone got a spare they can please chuck my way?

    • EB Games, JB Hifi or BigW. Will try look in later to see if you have a bite, before we next hit the shops.

  • +2

Yes, take home a code and activate. Got mine from BigW today.

  • Guys.. want to play pokemon again. But I remember starting last year. (I never end up finishing it..) is it worth restarting right now ? I know I will lose most rare items or some what..

Feel weird as a grown man going into a store and asking for a code for a Pokemon. Couldn't they just release it via WiFi?

    • +1

Get your kid / newphew / niece to ask for you :)

    • My son is 21 and he doesn't mind too much. If you are that much older they would possibly think you were collecting on behalf of your child. We collected son's codes from EB Games (who said one per customer) and then JB HiFi (Cranbourne). Son has two of the applicable Pokémon games for his 3DS. Yes, would be handy if they just released on Wifi or better still an email. If it wasn't for these OzBargain postings I receive then son would be none the wiser.

    wooo

Scumbags are already trying to sell them on ebay

    • That is pretty scummy of them I agree; just meanness. No wonder the shops say one per customer.

  • If any one has a spare code, please message me.

E54ZW2QNZ9TY27E4 - First come, first serve

      • Thanks for that! Saves me a trip

  • +1

FYI, these get snatched up super quick. 9 'til 5 workers like me are lucky to get any when there's time to store hop on the weekend 5 days after everyone else already caught 'em all. Every time they do these shitty serial codes, I'm told by staff at various stores "we'll have more in on X day".

  • JB Hifi Sydney CBD had none :(

  • All EB Games in Newcastle are useless, don't even bother - all out of stock (and not particularly friendly about it either.

Charlestown JB Hi Fi are out.
Newcastle West BigW still have some left
Jesmond BigW and Charlestown BigW are out
Kotara JB Hi Fi's (both Home and Westfield) had around 20 left each

  • Thank you for posting; always much appreciated to receive notifications for Pokémon. Son is happy.
    :o)

I've got a spare code, if anyone wants one - first to let me know.

    • Really? Could you send me code because the retailers i;ve been to have been out of stock

      • +1

Accept messages and I will PM you

        • I've changed my settings so that I can accept messages

        • sorry i didnt notice it earlier

  • I remember going to the store with my cartridge of Pokemon Red to get Mew back in the day.

  • Crap, does anyone have spare codes? I don't think I'll be able to go in store today or tomorrow T.T

    • Sent PM with code

  • I have another code if someone is interested. Even better if you can get me a code in reply next month as I'm nowhere near any of those stores, but it's okay if you can't.

    • Code taken

  • I don't feel proud asking but if anyone has a spare code I would be so grateful. Couldn't find one in store anywhere near me.
