  • It says $99 on line. How do we get the 10% discount, and how much is postage to Melbourne?

    • +2

      • How do we get the 10% off? And since you're located in NSW, do we need to post it back each time for warranty claims?

    doesnt paint a great story…

I was tempted. I currently have a diff model Talon, and yes its always started easily. But ive had numerous issues with it.
    - bag ripped around straps - not enough reinforcing.
    - fuel cap leaked not long after buying. The cause of this is the washer between the cap and tank had completely perished!
    - and now.. the final straw. The fuel lines have persished.

  • I would not buy any Talon product they are cheap and nasty…

  • Not sure about Talon. They had this same product advertised in December for $79 with $19 shipping. The reviews then were bad, so unless they've fixed issues with this model, I can't imagine it being a bargain. Any comment ODS?

    • Tightarse,

not sure the reviews were so BAD in December - although I will agree the above link looks bad if you want it to…. 5 year old blower?

I have never had an issue with any of my own power or gardening tools - BUT I am a gear head and cleean and maintain them - perhaps a little over the top at times.

As for the same Model being advertised in Dec - nope - it was a OEM brand MADE BY TALON for KMart.

Warranty is 24 months - these are new - and there is no trickery here - they are running these out due to model change - still if you just judge on the sheer number we have sold and our return rate -they are pretty good…..

      ODS.

      • ODS, the thing that worries me most is that the person that posted the bad comments said that he emailed you guys a number of times for warranty issues, and never got a single response back. Have all the issues with leaky fuel, loose screws in the turbine etc etc been sorted? I'm seriously thinking of purchasin a number of these for my small business, but I don't want to be throwing good money away where I could be purchasing a name brand. You mentioned return rate - why are they being returned, and who is paying the postage?

        • Tightarse,

I cant find anyone in any posts that has emailed us many times - and I WOULD like to hear from them.

          [email protected]

As for the "issues" you raise - I am unaware of any manucfacturing faults at all - with these items - and TALON - if there is an issue (and there has been with blades) took upon themselves an expensive recall project with all of the affected machines.

I mention the return rate - as it is currently - ZERO….. :)

After the initial DOA Period the warranty is with TALON (now owned by Husqvarna) as with all of our products. They do NOT shirk or take warranty issues lightly - and if they were really that bad - do you think they would stand by their products for 24 months…..

          Hope that helps,

          ODS.

          • @ODS: Thanks ODS. You sound pretty honest. Two final things I promise… 1) if it is DOA, who pays postage back? 2) Do you have service centres in the Melbourne Northern Suburbs. Cheers.
