          VJ has still posted 10 times the amount of itunes posts

          Yes, specific apps that I had on my watchlist and was waiting until they became free for the first time.

          I didn't just post random apps that are free every other week like http://appshopper.com/games/top-speed-pro

          @jv:

          month*

          and oh dear, never realised that app developers would do this (since I don't use appshopper much), pretty dodgy app marketing strategy

          cheers JV, from now on, I'll add a new criteria: apps that haven't gone free before

          Hopefully you'll get some better posts in the future

          apps that haven't gone free before

          or maybe apps that haven't been free for a while > 6 months…

          many dodgy developers keep switching from free->paid to keep themselves listed in appshopper and similar other sites…

          cheers…

          @jv:

          yeah i just realised how bad that looked, giving developers traffic they don't deserve.

          Should have told me earlier XD

    • Can you honestly stop posting that exact same comment in every single iOS post of mine? I used around 7 sites, obtain a list of around 30, then filter out the ones which are less than 4/5 and less than 40 ratings.

      Appshopper gives around 2-3 apps a day, with usually only 1 app matching that criteria.

      Also, just a friendly reminder that there is a feature to hide all posts from a user, if you don't like their content.

    I tried the Mini Golf and it looks good but after the first hole ads come up and you have to wait x seconds. is this a normal behaviour for a "paid" app or this is a "monetized" "free" version?
    Ps: once the game is downloaded and installed it's name is Mini Golf Free

    • There's a pro version by the same developer for US$2.99. May have become the free version by stealth.

  • For the PDF to audio offline-reader app, be quick as the "discount is only for Christmas week".

    @lyl
    I suggest that your criteria should also exclude apps that are ad supported. The mini golf game is one of these even though I saw no mention on iTunes of it at a quick look. I realise that you were probably not aware of it in this case at least.

      Yeah from first glance I really can't tell if it has ads or not.

      Also have you tried turning aeroplane mode on? It works for many apps that are ad-supported.

      • I didn't try that. I'll try that in the future, in this case I've already removed the golf game.
