  • The casing looks the same as the 2TB. Would this fit in a PS4?

    • -3

This one is 2x 2TB drives stacked together.

      • +1

The Backup Plus is 2 drives stacked, this is the Expansion which is a single 4tb drive.

    • Most likely too big for PS4. From Seagate's official dimensions:
      - 1TB and 2TB have external case height of 14.8mm
      - 3TB and 4TB have external case height of 20.9mm

    • +2

Also if you look in the Amazon reviews, someone answers this exact question with a photo that shows the bare drive does not have a SATA connection, but the USB3.0 connection is part of the board.

    • It is a single drive with 14mm height. It most likely won't fit in the PS4 or most laptops.

Totally different niches of market. Portable in deal and you referenced a desktop one. Powered by u.s. vs powerpoint.

Does it come with MS Office?

        • +1

You forgot to ask how the extension cord to the US works.

Nothing is certain but death, taxes, and people confusing desktop and portable HDDs on OzBargain.

  • -5

Wouldn't go near this for the simple fact it's 2 drives together, twice the chance of failure. Seagate and Portable are bad enough on their own… Ended up going with their 3TB variant recently.

    • +3

Not 2 drives. Backup Plus is the 2 drive model.

    • +7

No, completely different. It's a portable (USB powered). AusPost was a Desktop (requires AC power).

lol, well that humblebrag backfired didn't it ;)

  • So is this one drive, can i pull out the drive and chuck it in my NAS? what speeds is it etc?

    • No. Possibly no Sata connections.

  • -4

Well, it's only $199 AUD at JB Hi Fi, without the wait…

Will this fit in my Ford Focus? Please note it's a hatchback.

    • +3

It should unless it's a ford Focus made for ANTS!

  • +3

God damn it….how many people are going to reference a desktop version :(

God damn it….how many people are going to reference a desktop version :(

They are the same people you see on the roads everyday, turning left from the right hand lane, stopping in the middle of intersections, picking up passengers in clearways, never using indicators and so forth.

  • Anyone know if there's an international warranty or would you need to send back to USA?

    • Send back to the USA.

purchased one on Jan 3 and delivered on Jan 14.
I used my free Amazon USD5 credit form this ozbargain amazon app

I didn't get the credit so I consulted Amazon live chat
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/general-questions.…

In less than a minute they applied $5 discount to the item. Did they even check?
So I suggest you add the item to your shopping chart and ask them about the $5.

  • Can't seem to get the shipping price quoted in the title?
